If you're completely out of shape, this might not be the best time to start a workout program. You're likely to get too frustrated. Maybe look at the Sit and Be Fit program on TV?

There are videos available on U-Tube that cover seated/chair exercises.

agree, probably not the best time to start. maybe just take this time to research exercise programs, watch you tube videos on different exercises and correct form for each, that kinda stuff, figure out what it is you'd like to get out of exercise. And research nutrition, healthy recipes, macros, etc and put together a really good diet. that way when your cast comes off you'll be all educated and ready to go. You can even start with the good diet right now, you'll get a lot out of that.

Reality check for you. Your foot is in a cast and it's only weight-bearing that means you got some serious damage to your foot. It needs to heal

Please whatever you do don't take any advice from anybody on this website. Even though their intentions may be good they can give you advice that may really screw your foot up.

You need to talk to your orthopedist and in conjunction with a physical therapist they can prescribe a routine for you but the most important thing is for your body to heal.
