Do sitting on the exercise ball for 1 hour cout for calories or is strenght building? I have been sitting on it everytime I sit in front of the TV so I can work my core and balance.

 I would think that it does because it strengthens you core and back muscles.
  • I wouldn't think it would effect your calories at all. It's more like light strength training. But I don't know for sure...

It does work...If you keep your shoudlers back and sit up right you will feel in your abs and your back, you have to do for 30-60 mins. I don't have any exercise technique instructions either, I am sure there must be some on-line.

I sit on mine and bounce. Then add arm work like up and down in and out and it really get my heart pumping in a 30 minute program. I don't count those calories though, I just know I have a little cushion.

Not sure but it's sure is good for the core. I love my exercise ball and use it with Core Secrets DVD's. They're the best!!! I sometimes, even sit on it while I"m blow drying my hair. Anything, to build a strong posture is good.
