Sleeping after working out

I get up at 3 am because my husband leaves for work at that time. I've been working out on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes. However, when I'm done I'm tired from getting up so early and have been going back to bed for 1-2 hours. Does this hinder weight loss? What are your thoughts? Should I stay up?

I'm not really sure why you would think it would hinder weight loss...4

I've read both sides. That it slows metabolism and I've read that it increases metabolism. So I don't know which one to believe.2 -
IF you're able to, dowatchalike. as for me, I can't sleep within about 2 hours after any sort of meaningful/useful training session.1

Sleeping after exercise doesn't slow or hasten metabolism. Your body doesn't shut down while sleeping or anything like that. If you are tired, sleep. If you aren't, don't.2

It does neither...you burn calories 24/7...most of your "burn" is you existing.
If anything, a lack of sleep will raise cortisol levels and hinder weight loss.2 -
Sounds wonderful! It's my fantasy to sleep after a workout! Maybe someday when I'm an empty nester I'll get that luxoury!2

I usually come home, drink my whey and pass out after an intense lifting session.2

Getting enough sleep is quite important in respect to weight loss (it has an impact on hormone levels) so, if you're tired sleep happily!2

I think I've posted this before but being able to take a nap right after a good workout is one of life's great pleasures.3
