Success / struggles of the week : all seems to be ok, good week. Not as many rides as i would like due to rains, but i have extended those that i managed to 40 miles from 31. So compensated a bit. Also my ongoing physical therapy requires free weights, so that motivates me to do it. Happy to realize that I'm one month away from one year maintaining, yeah! That's definitely an accomplishment for me, some sort of reassurance that i am handling this well enough and will do so going forward.8 -

Succcess/struggles of the week: had some very bad news last week and I totally took the weekend off... didn't work out, went out for dinner and drank many delicious cocktails. I also weighed myself this morning right after breakfast, which I usually don't do. With all that in mind, I'm happy I came in a bit below my maintenance median weight.
I can finally start working out properly again... so at least that's something and I can stop with the walks.6 -

Height: 5'3.5"
Total Weight lost: ~74 lbs (I dropped about 14 lbs below original goal)
Time it took to lose: 10 months (to original goal of 135)
How long in maintenance: I called maintenance in July 2016, but I have continued to slowly lose so I'm not really sure.
Maintenance weight range: 120 - 125 lbs
Average weight recorded from January: 127.1
Average weight recorded from February: 126.5
Average weight recorded from March: 126.2
Average weight recorded from April: 124.9

Success/struggles of the week: Things are going pretty good for me. My trend did drop a pound in September after holding at 122 for 3 months. But that is still within normal fluctuations and still in my maintenance range so I am not going to worry about it. My running is going well. I do sometimes have to remember that I am a lot more active now and I can eat more than I think I should eat. But I think for the most part my high days and low days are balancing out over the week. I really do appreciate this thread. Thanks again for setting it up for us @fidangul.

Hi! I was wondering if I could join your group. I've been in maintenance for a few months now, and I'm finding some of my not-so-helpful habits are emerging again.

Success/struggles of the week: Success -- I have managed to stop almost all snacking while preparing meals and while preparing my son's snacks. I feel confident that I can get a handle on this habit and eliminate it by next week. If not, I'm going to have to really do some strategizing to stop grazing.
One struggle is that I have been spending my evenings working on some projects at the dining room table. The proximity to the kitchen in addition to the stress I feel over the projects has led to some nighttime snacking (cereal -- ugh). I typically do not eat after dinner, so I am worried that this is a "slippery slope," so-to-speak.5 -

2nd of October: 146.6 lbs
Success/struggles of the week: I completely eliminated junk food and most desserts from November of 2016 until August of 2017. Now that my calorie budget is increasing, I have been cautiously buying my favourite treats. Hehe, softly, softly, don't want to trigger a binge! So what have I learned: that my fruit and vegetable consumption may suffer when I have Chapman's caramel pecan frozen yogurt in the freezer; that I can eat just two of Bulk Barn's Belgian chocolate macaroons and (Holy cow!) STOP; and, in any case, I can continue to respect my calorie limits despite eating my old faves. Huge relief!
Anyhoo, I have all the ingredients on hand for a delicious salad, and I have run out of frozen yogurt so I think I will wait a bit before replacing it, concentrate on the salad instead. Still have plenty of macaroons and chocolate chips to add zest!6 -
Thanks @CoachJen71.

Sucacess/struggles of the week:
I'm the exact same weight as last week. But I'm alright with that for now because I had a really bad migraine for about two and half days that literally knocked me out.
I didn't get a chance to do 1 out of my 5 small workouts because I was in hospital with my son. He had a small accident but alls well thankfully.
Food wise I seem to be making good enough choices. A difference this week was avocados. I found 4 for a £1 and they were soooooo ripe and creamy and went well with what I paired them with. (May be my downfall for the week???)
Anywho, I'm determined to make October a success. @kgirlhart this thread helps me a lot too. So I'd like to thank everyone joining in every month!!!3 -

Success / struggles of the week : I'd say the only struggle I'm having is adjusting to eating more calories. It seems my stomach got used to less. I started adding in higher calorie snacks into my day, to get the numbers up, but I've only managed to add 200ish...ate at 1200-1300 losing, 1800 is maintainace level. My goal is to be up to 1800/daily and not struggling by the time I leave for a week long, all inclusive trip to Mexico. I plan on enjoying myself, not logging on vacation, and coming back to weighing daily and logging.
I've probably met "goal" about 4 times in the last 5 years. In 2012, I went from 193 to 143. Decided 143 was too low, and gained to 150, but by then lost control and I've been down and up between 165 & 147 over that 5 year span. My main objective this time to keep the scale in the defined weight range above.5 -

I am so very sorry. *hugs* I have not tried IVF, but I remember the despair, pain, and loss from some early miscarriages.0 -

We got away for a few days and did some hiking. One day was 8 miles flat along the water and another day was 200 floors up to a mountain ridge, where we could see the water we walked along the day before. I actually did a lot better than I thought I might, but my calves are still sore! Gotta have some fun, that's what this is all about.8 -

Struggles/successes of the week: the week started out well. Daily weigh-ins were: 126, 125, 124, 125.5. 124 is my lowest-ever weigh-in. Thursday I was 129.5. Wednesday I binged at night. Not too badly. I counted my calories through the binge, but again, it was for the wrong reasons: I was super-sad. My sweetheart and I are having some difficulties. I know eating won’t help. It will make things worse if I gain weight.
Successes for the week included getting back on the stick on Thursday, exercising every day, and binging “better” if that makes sense. I ate healthy things for the binge and stopped when my tummy hurt too much, instead of just eating. When I didn’t like something I was eating, I stopped, instead of eating it just because it was there.
I write this on Thursday night and I am super anxious about tomorrow. So we will see...
It’s Friday morning and the weigh-in was 125.5. So that is a a success!8 -

Successes of the week: I got in all my exercise as planned this week - I was also really pleased - I managed my fastest 5k pace since May, and I am back up to deadlifting more than my own bodyweight again this week.
Struggles of the week: Still struggling to eat less. Why is it that I can maintain within ounces of a weight, but find it really hard to get back into losing again? I think I'm maybe too used to eating at the level I'm eating at currently - I've been really hungry (and OK, I admit it, also hangry this week), but my weight is still trending upwards! I feel really quite demoralised at the moment

Name: Jen
Age: 46
Height: 5'2.5"
Total Weight lost:145lbs
Time it took to lose: 2.75yrs
How long in maintenance : Declared it 4/14/17.
Maintenance weight range: Would like to stay under 122 at morning weigh-in.
Ongoing struggle: I still need to learn to trust my body cues, be content with eating just enough, and stop asking food to be more than just fuel. Life after work is just filled with getting steps and eating food to fill my evening. Really need to make peace with having fewer cals to work with. Contentment and an attitude of gratitude (and maybe a hobby, like sign language) are the order of the day.

Struggles: had to reign it in this week after a trip east. Was good on planning and calories but due to another small medical procedure, I couldn't run for 48 hours. My training schedule was messed up.
Successes: I ran 10 miles Monday, the most I've ever done. It wasn't pretty, but I did it.
Upcoming week plan: I will follow the training schedule as best as I can. I have to focus on fueling for the runs as the mileage gets longer. I have to fly east next week for a funeral but I think I can keep at least the running on point. I have to re-prioritize my gym time to make the most out of it.5
