OMG! I just had a HUGE NSV for me. A friend gave a big bag full of clothes, and most of them fit! Most of the tops were 22/24, I was a 26/28 when I started a year ago. Not all the 22/24 tops fit, but those that didn't are only a little snug.
And and and! The two pair of size 22 jeans (no elastic) fit! I was a 28/30 when I started. I bought a couple pair of capris on clearance without trying them on a couple months ago that were 26s (with elastic).
These are older 22s, so it's possible they have stretched, but I don't even care. They are a tiny bit snug, in that fresh-from-the-dryer-will-stretch-out way. Still comfortable, don't think I'll pop a button if I sit in them.
I'm going to Walmart tomorrow to try on jeans.36 -
I got one late last night...
I've been more active about my strength training on Instagram recently, and last night I got offered my first discount. I may yet be an influencer!20 -

You would have stopped at just 10 Lindors? I'd have stopped when the box was empty (hangs head in shame ). I can't eat any these days, way too rich. There is nothing like knowing you can shop in any store, anywhere, and find something that will not only fit, but look good.
I wish this was true! There are several shops that I can't shop in as I'm too small (and I'm quite a way from my goal weight still). And the shops that I used when I was huge (and struggled to find clothes in my former sizes) don't stock clothes small enough for me either. Finding clothes is still a battle, one that I never thought'd I have with weight loss.
I was excited that a new shop opened in my town as it had some really nice looking clothes in, until I saw the signs outside that read "Sizes 16 - 32". Yeah. I'd drown in those sizes.

Got on the treadmill for half an hour, after resisting getting out of bed and realizing that I was finding excuses not to exercise.( better burn 300 cal then gain it) lol12

I rushed home yesterday to mow the lawn ahead of today's thunderstorms...with a push mower. Because the grass was so high and we had several days of rain I had to go particularly slow. I got at least 1/3 of an acre done before it got too dark. 21,000+ steps yesterday!23

Shopping with hubby, we saw Halloween candy for sale. Then we remarked how it's October and we have snack size chocolate bars in the house from last year. That is a first!26

@jesslla - It get's better, Sugar... keep it up! There is nothing like knowing you can shop in any store, anywhere, and find something that will not only fit, but look good.
Gratz on the 22's!!
Thank you! I'm still pumped about that this morning, hee! I can't wait until I size down into misses clothing. I dream of going into The Gap or even Nordstroms and buying clothing (I know the Gap sells plus sizes, but I was too big for them until recently). I can't afford much at Nordstroms, but when I hit goal I'm going to buy an outfit there because I can.
I even dream of fitting into the fitness gear at Walmart. I would love to have a fitness wardrobe, even if I only workout at home!17 -
Short story:
Okay, so my kids think that I am a complete nutter on my bike because I like a little bit of speed down the hills.
After my cycle ride today, I met my daughter from college and showed her my top speed today:
She nearly fainted because it does indeed state 92.9 mph.
I couldn't work out why my computer had gone wrong (I think that it doubled my speed, just for fun; the last time I looked at the speed before hitting the steep part of the hill I was going at 39 mph) until I went for a run this evening and saw this:
Been laughing all day about the speed my computer recorded. But it must have happened, right? Because the computer said so.
And, whilst out for a walk with the children earlier today I saw this:
That was something that I just couldn't resist. The kids and I had a great time, scrunching through the leaves, with my husband telling us to stop, as someone had swept them up (there was no-one around BTW). We cleared them up again though. Marvellous fun and something I wouldn't have done in my morbidly-obese former life.
It's amazing how losing weight also makes you lose your inhibitions and revert to childhood.
Hope that the pile of leaves is still there tomorrow29 -
Loving all these responses... please... keep em coming.3

I bought a cool running jacket because I am now the kind of person who needs a running jacket. Also bought a cute little retro dress on clearance.
I'm still getting used to enjoying clothes shopping - it used to be torture because I had to pick from the tiny selection of things that came in my size, and even the things that fit looked terrible on me. Now I can pick what I like from all the clothes, they mostly look good, and if they don't I say, "Well, that's an ugly dress!" instead of "I look so ugly in this dress!" I used to look forward to buying clothes about as much as I looked forward to going to the dentist. Now it's a treat! The last time I had fun shopping for clothes was twenty years ago.24 -
@Madwife2009 I love crunching leaves. Still too early here for leaf piles but I'm looking forward to it, especially with the puppy.8

I swear the last few times I've been looking for something in my size, I can find more in the 2xl and 3xl sizes than I can in the L size. I'm kinda between L and XL right now, but I found jeans on sale with a 50" waist that would have been good 15 months ago.
Really, really pissing me off.9 -

I bought junior leggings today. I have never bought anything junior. They only worked because leggings are so stretchy, but I don't care.
I need some super long shirts to go with them, because I am so belly heavy, but my legs are amazing. The one perk of being an apple.
I think I'm going to buy several pair of leggings for winter because since they are stretchy my legs and belly will have to shrink a lot before they are too big, unlike jeans. Cheaper that way in the long run.
And the 22 jeans at Walmart fit well enough that I can buy a pair of them too for my shirts that aren't long enough to cover my belly. A little Snug, but they'll get a little bigger with wearing them, and shrink again in the dryer.16 -
Our friends invited us to Cici’s Pizza tomorrow for Senior Day, an all you can eat buffet of pizza and salad. Hubby and I love pizza and have been craving it, but going to an all you can eat situation, was just not something we wanted to test. We declined. That had the potential to undo several days of hard work.
Before we embarked on our weight loss journey, Senior specials of all you can eat was something we enjoyed.15 -

The leaves were gone today. Gutted. But we found some more when my little one and I went to forage for acorns. The acorns are for a squirrel in the park that my little girl appears to have adopted. The squirrel scampers up to her and she throws the acorn to it. The acorn is swiftly shelled and then either eaten or buried. My little girl loves this, it's the highlight of her day Couldn't figure out how to upload a video but never mind.
I think that leaf scrunching should be on the MFP database. It must use up loads of calories.

About 5 months ago I flew in a plane for the first time in about 4 years. The seat belt was fully extended and very tight! Last week I flew and it fit so much better! I actually needed to tighten the belt a bit19

We had this same discussion just today. Decided to eat at home where we had control.6 -
Went zip lining and high ropes course today! It was so much fun. It even had a climbing wall at one station. DH (69) and I (59) completed the course in under 2 hours (we did take our time). We wouldn't have even considered this last year. I even enjoyed looking at the video of me.19

Spent most of the day today in a training session where there was a lovely bowl of snack sized chocolates within arms’ length. Told myself that I would eat 3 of my favorites and call it there. Did exactly that - even during the dreaded afternoon slump, I didn’t grab more candy for the sugar rush like many of my colleagues.
I also planned in advance with my own lunch because I wasn’t sure what kind of food would be catered in - successfully stayed on track with eating what I planned and stayed away from the free potato chips, Cheetos, and cupcakes at the dessert table.
Free food is a big weakness of mine. Glad I was able to maintain my willpower. Definite NSV today.31 -
Splurged on a 950 calorie burger, still under calories for the day. (Still stuffed...)27

I can deadlift my weight now! I wasn't thinking today would be a good lifting day since I've had to miss several workouts due to illness and was lifting what I did last time, which at that time was fifteen pounds less than my weight. Said to myself, I sure would like to lift my bodyweight but I don't think I can manage another fifteen pounds today, maybe next time. And then I realized I've lost five pounds since the last time I deadlifted. Aha! I only needed to add TEN more pounds, not fifteen!
So my weight and my strength have met in the middle now.35 -

Someone sitting beside me at work put on huge spread for their birthday. I had cherry tomatoes and small sausage roll, held calories to managable amount and avoided all cake, lollies etc which would have led to a lot more snacking24

Had my annual physical and my total cholesterol was 103. It's never been put of range but doc was impressed I've got it so low. My other numbers were also in check with my total cholesterol, he commented that he can tell I follow an extremely healthy diet based on my bloodwork and weightless. Left the office feeling pretty good about myself!20

I have my all time favorite candy in the house. And instead of eating the whole bag in one go, yesterday I measured out a serving and only had that. Tonight I will do the same.26
