I'm always on the run during lunch hours looking for a good easy meal replacement shake

If you're comfortable settling for a replacement, they're pretty much the same quality-wise. You have to find one that fits your nutritional needs; taste is subjective.

I work in the ER, getting more than 10 minutes to sit & eat is out of the question. I packed on the pounds by binge eating before & after work.
Guess my question is meal replacement shakes the same as those "protein" shakes?

a protein shake is literally just liquid protein.

a meal replacement shake should have more balanced macros.

In that case, I'd rather adress the binge eating, instead of risking to increase the urge to binge. Replacing food with shakes is trying to remove yourself from the problem, but food is not the problem, your relationship with food is the problem. If eating two meals per day is more practical, there is no real reason why you can't do that, as long as you do it sensibly.

I like Vega One or even Vega Essentials. They have probiotics, Omega 3, plenty of fiber, protein, and vitamins. With 12oz of almond milk, it keeps me full for a while.

I love the Vega brand! I do a frozen banana and cold brew coffee with the chocolate. Keeps me perfectly full for about 4 hours til lunch :) I was using Protein and Greens but recently bought the Essentials type. For only 10 more calories, it has much more micronutrients.

I love Premier Protein Shakes, not sure they are considered meal replacements, but I have one for bfast daily and they keep me going till lunch time. I like the chocolate and the banana ones the best. I also mix a shake with PB2 for an extra yummy extra protein shake!

Boost and Ensure are perfectly good meal replacement shakes. No mixing required unless you just want to buy the powder.
