Kinda stuck

Ok so I am a really big guy and I came to the realization over a year ago that I had to change my lifestyle or I wouldn't be around very long. I started dieting and exercising at my heaviest I was a whopping 630lbs and I'm 6'3" if that gives any kind of insight, but I began logging my calories and working out with Tae Bo religously and walking I'm now down to 522lbs and I have run into a bit of a wall. I've been gradually reducing my calorie intake throughout the beginning of my weight loss journey, and I'm now taking in about 2200 calories a day. But as of the past two weeks my weight loss has almost halted, my question is should I continue to lower my caloric intake, the reason I ask is I've been told by multiple people that I shouldn't really go any lower.
Also on a Sidenote I've been using the keto diet as kind of a guideline to assist with my weight loss I haven't been strictly keto or in ketosis or anything but as I said just a bumper if you will, and my energy level and morale are at an all time high. any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you counting your calories?

I use the scan feature on My Fitness Pal app paired with my weight watchers food scale. I also just completely avoid anything I can't track the calories in.

If anything, 2200 calories is too low given your weight. Don't reduce. If your calorie logging is accurate and complete the results will come. I'd wager that you'll continue to lose at a pretty fast pace with those calories until you drop down well below 300 pounds.

If you are actually only taking in 2200 calories, the scale will give you a different number eventually. Keep working it and you'll get results. If I were you I would not go lower than 2200 calories without consulting a doctor who may give you very different advice.

    Don't reduce further.

I'm female, 5'7, and weigh 259 or so. I lose at least a pound a week on 1900 calories a day and could lose at about half to a quarter of a pound a week on 2200 calories. You're male, eight inches taller, and over a hundred pounds heavier than I am, 2200 is likely a huge defict for you.

Weight loss is not linear. Some weeks you'll lose, some weeks you'll gain water weight, other weeks you'll stand still/go up on the scale but drop inches.

If you're logging accurately and only eating the 2200 calories a day you should continue to lose weight. You just might not see a loss on the scale every week, but keep track of measurements too. If you're not logging and just relying on keto to reduce your calories, start logging. Keto alone is not a guarantee that you'll lose weight, you are still ruled by CICO. As you probably know.

I lost only one pound last week, but I shrunk by five inches. It's very likely that water weight is masking fat loss for you.

Ok thank you, I am logging as accurately as possible, I use the scan feature on myfitnesspal to bring up the exact food item and make sure to quantify my servings properly. My weight loss up until this point has been fairly consistent, which is why I question it now.

I have found that some barcode scans bring up different products (or outdated entries that are no longer correct). If your stall continues another week or two, it may be worth double-checking your more frequently used foods to ensure the actual label matches what you're logging in the database.

I once was a little constipated and in the few days it took to fully resolve I lost nearly six pounds. Stuff happens.

Also, if you eat a bunch of salty stuff or suffer seasonal allergies you could just be retaining fluids.
