i'm starting to have a lot of NSV's. and i'm not gonna complain about that. but i just came to realize, didn't even notice it, but in my last status for tonight, i put my weight. my REAL weight!
for me that is a HUGE thing. i have broken through a mental barrier. i'm strong enough to admit that i currently weigh 332 pounds. i am down 24 pounds from my starting weight of 356!
i am woman hear me roar!
my name is betsy and i weight 332. and i'm steadily losing weight thanks to MFP and all the amazing people on here! hard work and watching what you eat is the only way to do it!

Congratulations! That is a wonderful and powerful NSV! :flowerforyou:0 -

I definitely understand. Where I used to work a friend asked if I wanted to be in a group to lose weight and I refused since I wouldn't reveal my weight and frankly I would do the same again now in a work situaltion. It has taken me awhile on here but I do reveal my weight here too. I am even in challenges that have mostly members that have less to lose and I have been going ahead and posting my current and goal weights. It has something to do with having the confidence that I am going to lose it eventually. Now if I was just sure I am really out of this plateau I would roar too. Congrats on your progress.0

Yay! That's so great0

Good for you. Now that my max weight is 123 pounds behind me, I can talk about it. But at the time I sure as heck didn't want it to be a topic of conversation. Denial was my friend. lol0

You are awesome!
I'm like you... I never wanted to talk about what I weigh. I didn't mind saying how much I had lost, but didn't want to talk about the dirty secret that was my starting weight or heaven forbid, my current weight. :ohwell:
Dr. Phil says, "You can't change what you don't acknowlege." I love that.. he is so right. So like you, I am owning my weight and losing it!
Keep going Betsy, we are all here applauding and cheering you on!0 -
Fantastic! You go, girl!0

hard work and watching what you eat is the only way to do it!

You are rocking it!!! Keep up the great work and remember - slow and steady wins this race! Rooting for you in NH!!!0

Your story was me all over again. I am listing my weight and it took me a while before I could add it to my profile.:blushing:

Sorry to seem silly here, but i dont know what an NSV is? it's probably something hideously obvious, lol. I'm new and just feeling my way around here :-)0

Good work! It wasn't that long ago that I also would not admit my real weight. You've made a fantastic breakthrough, and I know you're going to be very successful! Thanks for posting!0

Means non-scale-victory.
Don't worry. I didn't know for the longest time either.0
