One of the trainers at my gym noticed my weightloss! Yeah family and friends do too, but meant more when a trainer pointed it out29

Um, you are a hero, a scholar, and a saint. Because, chocolate cake.21 -
My BFF has had problems with her weight and body image. Today she said I inspire her to be healthier
Also, you guys have inspired me, and I bought a bike today. It is a starter bike, but I'm excited to "play" with it and begin to use it to go to work and back, since it is less than 1.5 miles away I loved biking when I was a kid and teenager, and I love riding horses, so I figure that this will be a fun experience for a couple of years. And earlier I rented a bike from school to make sure it was doable, and I have a great route picked out. I'm excited! Parking is a mess where I am, so I look forward to not having to do it so often.33 -
Had an early morning thing at work today and I was responsible for BRINGING the donut holes. I also got some bananas and oranges and I ate zero donut holes. Even though they're little and poppable.36

I took the kids to music lessons today and their teacher said to me, "What are you doing? You look amazing!" It made my day! Although I could see changes in myself, I didn't think anyone else would notice. What have I been doing?..calorie counting, walking, swimming and using my creaky old stepper at home.29

Found an old Dallas Mavericks shirt I got free at game a couple years ago (got the biggest size they had, 3x) that wasn't even close fitting me. I tried it on and it fits perfectly now!
Had to buy a new belt
Jeans I bought a year ago won't stay on without a belt, I'm now down two sizes.
Measurements from Men's Warehouse went down. I went in Feb for one wedding and last week for another one27 -
Wore two size 4 items last week that didn't fit a few months ago(skirt and dress). Ordered new skinny jeans in an 8 and they fit gorgeously. Found a former favorite pair of jeans (different brand, size 4) and they zip and are totally wearable, if a little muffin toppy. Obviously the numbers on the tags only mean so much given that 4 in one brand seems to be about equivalent to 8 in another...but fitting into clothes that I had previously stopped fitting into is a for sure sign of progress!
I think I might take pictures in those jeans and compare in a few months....and in the meantime I'm going to rock them with looser blouses!31 -
My 2 year old did a 1K kids fun run Saturday and then I did a 5K walk. She was SO PROUD of herself and turned to me and said "AGAIN?" after the 1K. She wanted to run the end of the 5K so I parked the stroller and we ran a short distance (the length of the third base line at a stadium) to the finish line, then went back for the stroller. She wouldn't get in because she wanted us to run it again, so we did. My heart fills with such joy to realize I am doing my best to ensure that she doesn't have the health or weight issues I have.
Then the whole family adopted a rescue dog yesterday. He's awesome. I got up early to walk him, and will be doing so every day, weather permitting.50 -
I was tossing clothing for goodwill over the weekend and a pair of pants that I haven't worn in at least five years came up to the surface. I put them on this morning and whereas the last time all the goods were on full, gross display, they're actually loose in my thighs now! Score!22

Two and a half years ago, I bought my daugher a size M silk blouse from Banana Republic that she never wore. It's been hanging in her closet, and she didn't take it to college with her. I was curious and tossed it on this morning. It fit, and I wore it to work today.44

I started again here exactly a week ago. Since then, I have been to the gym twice and have started to do abs exercises. I am wearing my Garmin and I was under 10.000 steps and 10 floors only once and that's just average days. I am also measuring my sleep patterns and try to go to bed earlier. On Saturday, I was on a hike together with friends, it was the most gorgeous autumn day ever and I felt insanely full of energy - like I haven't felt in months. This is just one week... I am very happy to be back in healthy mode!26

Last October I bought a nice blue wool blazer for myself for my birthday. It was a size 52R and fit nicely. I just bought a new blazer, a slim fit 48R. It fits perfectly. 4 inches off my chest.38

Three more NSV for me!
I have ridden my stationary bike for at least 20 minutes at a time for 19 of the last 23 days. I'm almost a quarter of the way through my 100 day challenge, and while I won't have made it through all 100 days with riding every day like I planned, if I can get through the challenge with riding at least 75 days of it I'll be more than happy. And that gives me flexibility to let life get in the way.
And, fall has arrived in Dallas (*kitten* finally). It was 50 f/10 c this morning and I put on my 3X Catherines denim jacket (22/24) and it was too big. Last year it buttoned, but was snug. Today not only did it button, but the front overlapped by like five inches. I could maybe go down a size, but Catherines doesn't usually get denim jackets like this in, and I love a slightly too big jacket. I'll wait until next year, because by then I can probably buy one in straight sizes at Walmart.
My 3x men's shirts from Walmart I bought a few weeks finally made their way through my laundry and back into rotation. I figured that they'd shrink a bit in the laundry and be a bit snug when I first wore them until they stretched a bit. The freshly washed shirt fit just fine. Yay!23 -
I stepped foot into a gym today for the first time in almost two years! This is the start of me getting healthy along with eating better, which I’ve been doing for over a week now. Had a nice workout!35

The parking lot at work is teeny tiny, not just the number of spaces but the size of the spaces. The car next to my tiny Kia Rio parked WAY too close for anyone to get in...
So I just went to the other side and climbed into the driver's seat from the passengers! Didn't accidentally honk the horn, change the gear, adjust the mirror, or hit any of the controls. Just slipped right in and drove away.
Felt pretty awesome.38 -
Today during my Zumba class, for the first time I felt good in my skin. I didn't feel uncomfortable doing the somewhat racy moves that we do (just for fun). I actually "worked it". I'm finally having fun in my class and feel good about myself and my weight loss. Looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow.32

Non weight loss related victory, my husband is officially cancer free! The radiologist signed off on him and now he doesn't need to worry about it until his six month checkup.
Weight related NSV: my new habit is doing a body weight workout while his doctor putzes around taking his own sweet time getting to us. I love the man, seriously, but typically we get escorted into an examination room and then they ignore us for two hours. Two hours of sitting doing nothing drives me bats, so one day I started doing squats and push-ups, and it just sort of went from there. Now it's a habit! So I don't have to fit a doctor's appointment and a workout into my day, I combine them!

I actually cooked a healthy meal [basically] from scratch! I'm working on being less dependent on processed/convenience foods!36

I built my boyfriend a personal full-body workout plan the other day, because he goes to the gym with me on Saturdays. He looks at it, says it's a lot, then says "I guess I'm not the only one that wants me to have muscles!"
He's never admitted to wanting muscles before! Success!19 -
Two months ago I did a trip back home to Canada and picked up some clothes I had left behind a year ago because they were too small. Yesterday I was wearing the pair of stretchy skinny jeans I brought back with me and noticed they are getting so big they gape at the top! Glad I'm losing but now I'm running out of clothes again and I'm not quite fitting the sizes in Asia yet! Lol.16
