I started again here exactly a week ago. Since then, I have been to the gym twice and have started to do abs exercises. I am wearing my Garmin and I was under 10.000 steps and 10 floors only once and that's just average days. I am also measuring my sleep patterns and try to go to bed earlier. On Saturday, I was on a hike together with friends, it was the most gorgeous autumn day ever and I felt insanely full of energy - like I haven't felt in months. This is just one week... I am very happy to be back in healthy mode!26

Last October I bought a nice blue wool blazer for myself for my birthday. It was a size 52R and fit nicely. I just bought a new blazer, a slim fit 48R. It fits perfectly. 4 inches off my chest.38

Three more NSV for me!
I have ridden my stationary bike for at least 20 minutes at a time for 19 of the last 23 days. I'm almost a quarter of the way through my 100 day challenge, and while I won't have made it through all 100 days with riding every day like I planned, if I can get through the challenge with riding at least 75 days of it I'll be more than happy. And that gives me flexibility to let life get in the way.
And, fall has arrived in Dallas (*kitten* finally). It was 50 f/10 c this morning and I put on my 3X Catherines denim jacket (22/24) and it was too big. Last year it buttoned, but was snug. Today not only did it button, but the front overlapped by like five inches. I could maybe go down a size, but Catherines doesn't usually get denim jackets like this in, and I love a slightly too big jacket. I'll wait until next year, because by then I can probably buy one in straight sizes at Walmart.
My 3x men's shirts from Walmart I bought a few weeks finally made their way through my laundry and back into rotation. I figured that they'd shrink a bit in the laundry and be a bit snug when I first wore them until they stretched a bit. The freshly washed shirt fit just fine. Yay!23 -
I stepped foot into a gym today for the first time in almost two years! This is the start of me getting healthy along with eating better, which I’ve been doing for over a week now. Had a nice workout!35

The parking lot at work is teeny tiny, not just the number of spaces but the size of the spaces. The car next to my tiny Kia Rio parked WAY too close for anyone to get in...
So I just went to the other side and climbed into the driver's seat from the passengers! Didn't accidentally honk the horn, change the gear, adjust the mirror, or hit any of the controls. Just slipped right in and drove away.
Felt pretty awesome.38 -
Today during my Zumba class, for the first time I felt good in my skin. I didn't feel uncomfortable doing the somewhat racy moves that we do (just for fun). I actually "worked it". I'm finally having fun in my class and feel good about myself and my weight loss. Looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow.32

Non weight loss related victory, my husband is officially cancer free! The radiologist signed off on him and now he doesn't need to worry about it until his six month checkup.
Weight related NSV: my new habit is doing a body weight workout while his doctor putzes around taking his own sweet time getting to us. I love the man, seriously, but typically we get escorted into an examination room and then they ignore us for two hours. Two hours of sitting doing nothing drives me bats, so one day I started doing squats and push-ups, and it just sort of went from there. Now it's a habit! So I don't have to fit a doctor's appointment and a workout into my day, I combine them!

I actually cooked a healthy meal [basically] from scratch! I'm working on being less dependent on processed/convenience foods!36

I built my boyfriend a personal full-body workout plan the other day, because he goes to the gym with me on Saturdays. He looks at it, says it's a lot, then says "I guess I'm not the only one that wants me to have muscles!"
He's never admitted to wanting muscles before! Success!19 -
Two months ago I did a trip back home to Canada and picked up some clothes I had left behind a year ago because they were too small. Yesterday I was wearing the pair of stretchy skinny jeans I brought back with me and noticed they are getting so big they gape at the top! Glad I'm losing but now I'm running out of clothes again and I'm not quite fitting the sizes in Asia yet! Lol.16

Today at work my stomach started to growl before lunch, so I ate my banana and yogurt to tide me over. It was only after that that I remembered there were doughnuts today in the conference room. I never ate a free doughnut (the best kind!) all day.12

Nice job! Free donuts are literally the worst.9 -

You are such a strong person! As is your husband. I'm so happy for the news you got! And what a great way to use up that annoying wait time in exam rooms without an actual doctor!13 -
@brookielaw
Umm... you can’t just tell us you adopted a rescue dog without posting pics. Internet etiquette!
Seriously, well done! You’re the absolute best role model for your children.20 -
I keep going to the bathroom and not needing to undoing my pants at all!23

I was doing a dance class with full length mirrors and could see that I was slimmer. I obviously noticed that I was wearing smaller clothes etc, but I finally saw the difference for myself!21

It's starting to get colder here now & with less padding, we are sure feeling it! This has resulted in the want for warm drinks aplenty.
Made some vegetable soup today & for the first time ever, weighed & measured everything including the water so I'd know how much a serving is in our bowls or mugs. Didn't even think about it - just did it...usually I'd be saying "It's just vegetable soup...it doesn't matter."
Think I love this change in mindset NSV more than any other I've had so far!
Second NSV was clearing out my clothes properly & trying everything on. Between my lovely hubs & I we gave 2 big bin liners worth to the charity shop yesterday. Feel like I've hardly any clothes left but I did keep some larger items for around the house. I'd tried on some things before to find them too large, but it was a few weeks ago. There was a big difference in how baggy they were even in that time frame. Was sad to see some of them go, but I'm determined they would never fit again & I really hope someone else can get some joy out of them. Onwards & upwards...or is that downwards?

I've never posted on a forum before, but I take so much strength from this thread so thank you everyone! I think it's time for me to reciprocate, so here's my latest NSV:
I'm maid of honour for my best friend next year, and this weekend we went to get measured for our bridesmaids dresses. For the first time in my life I wasn't horrified at the idea of a stranger measuring me in my underwear, and as it turns out, I've lost 6" from my waist and 7" from my hips vs some measurements I took last April!
All in all, a great weekend!57 -
I was at the Express Fashion store this pass weekend. I saw this cute small size tank top. I decided to try it on and it looked really good with my skinny jeans. This is my first tank top purchase since i started my weight loss journey. I took some photos and compared them to my January photos and I saw significant differences. Somedays you just don't see the changes when you look at yourself in the mirror , but the before and after pictures are always proof of your hardwork. I do regret not taking many before pictures. Nonetheless, 2018 will be my official start to my skinny and fabulous adult years. I haven't been a normal small size since 1993/94.29

Pulled a deadlift of 245 lbs. for five reps this morning. Old Man Strong!35

Day 99: I haven't worn these pants in two years!29

I'm learning the difference between actual hunger, boredom, and emotional eating...and making great strides in ONLY eating when I'm actually hungry....like give me your arm so I can gnaw on it...hungry LOL29

Everything is too sweet! I've been noticing this getting worse for a while now. The level of sweetness of cake, candy, and icecream that I used to take for granted is now just too much! I can't eat it.
Also, I have all these old pairs of size 12-14 jeans that have always been slightly too big, but good for horseback riding and other activities where I don't want to wear my "good jeans" They are now too big to wear horseback riding, and I really need to get rid of them.24 -
I was looking through the photos on my iPad and noticed that the automatically sorted photos under People have two different folders for me - the autotagger thinks fat me is a different person from more recent skinny me!74

It's my day off and my lunch plans got canceled, but at least I got my workout (leg day) and shower in already.19

Was told I'm looking sharp by two people today!
Literally only one person at work has said anything about my weight loss but he checked in today because he said the recent drop is really noticeable. I've definitely "whooshed" big time this week.26 -
The department where I work doesn't have treats often but yesterday someone brought in an Ice Cream Cake. I didn't eat any because I just didn't want it.
Also was able to get a 25 mile bike ride in yesterday which felt great. Friday was able to get 38 miles in after being off the bike a couple of weeks due to illness. This time of year it is harder to get rides in because of shorter days.24 -
My NSV....today I got a HOLE IN ONE!47
-
Today at the gym as I was working on my back squat. I could not help but notice that I felt like I fit in with two beefy dudes on either side of me... doing whatever it was they were doing. I was completely and utterly immersed in a feeling of freedom, of confidence, and of course sweat ...38

I recently bought my first pair of size 14 jeans (for the first time in 25 years or more). Even better those 14 jeans are only about 2 months old, and I was just a week ago able to squeeze into a size 12. The 12's aren't wearable in public yet, but I was still excited.31
