Would you work out right now?

UGH had a stressful bad eating day! I am at the very least over 500 cals for the day. It is 9:20 pm - I haven't worked out today. Should I force myself to go do a 45 minute kickbox video to try to save the day? Or should I just begin tomorrow? How do you all handle situations like this??

just do it.0

I would. I think you'll feel better if you just get started.0

I throw in a workout when I go over....doesn't really matter what time to me. Especially if I'm frustrated!0
-
I actually find exercising to be a good stress reliever.0
-
Personally, I would work out.
If you're suggesting it as an option, DO IT. If it was out of the question, you wouldn't be asking us.
Enjoy your workout!!0 -
Well, it depends on your day of tomorrow, I think! If you need to get rest tonight, then go to sleep! But I love to work out a little at night, (jogging, for example) it helps me to get rid of all I have in mind and it helps me to sleep.
But if you're not used to and if you think you're gonna be tired tomorrow, then don't do it!
Or maybe 30 minutes would be enough?
Good luck!!

you could always do extra the next day0

I ask myself if I've ever regretted working out once I'm done with the work out, and the answer is always no. So, I force myself on those days. You'll be so glad that you did it once you're done.0

Think about how you feel after you get through a workout. Press play and go for 5 minutes. Once you are 5 minutes in - you will be ready to go!! Rock that workout - and remember that great feeling you get when you are finished0

I'd work out, de-stress and sleep happy.0

What are you waiting for??? Dont stare up the steps, STEP UP THE STAIRS!0

The worst ad campaign ever.
Just Do it. Tomorrow.
Lol, I'm thinking of how out of business Nike would have been. Seriously-just doing it tomorrow is what got you here.0 -
I've been reading these and everybody had a bad day today including me. I'm going to go to bed early and start a new day tomorrow. It's a journey.0

You will be so pleased with yourself after. You'll feel great. I know it's hard to start, but once you get going and after you finish, it'll be all worth it!0

Do it, you'll feel better...even if you're still over.0

For me, I find that I have my best workouts when I wasn't in the mood at the beginning...You should do it! You will feel even better about a fresh start tomorrow if you throw in a workout tonight!0

I'd definitely work out. Get going!0

I have a lot of days like this- work out. You'll feel so much better0

I would definitely workout.
I have to talk myself into taking rest days, not actually working out!
It will make you feel better.0 -
work it OUT!!!0

Since you sound a little stressed and frustrated, I would say yes, go ahead and workout. Even though it might keep you up a little longer, you will feel much better.
I've never regretted working out. In fact, I think every single time, I am glad I did it.0 -
Start fresh tomorrow! You will have more vigor and energy You have my permission hehe0

Hey!
why not go for something easier and commit to going hard tomorrow? I am a huge fan of shark week right now, so on commercials, I did some strength training exercises.
Then just now I finished doing this cheesy 8 minute ab workout from YouTube.
Once you get a little momentum going you may change your mind.
Either way - don't feel bad. Tomorrow is a new day!0 -
Honestly, as late as it is, I would suggest starting the day tomorrow with a good workout and staying under your calories for the rest of the week. Studies have suggested that working out in the hour or two before bedtime can interfere with your sleep.
Just don't beat yourself up over it. Going over once in a while (even by 500+ calories) isn't going to kill your diet. In fact, if you have it set to lose 1 lb a week, 500 cal over the goal will put you right at maintenance for the day. So it's not too bad, really. Just start fresh tomorrow and move forward.0 -

THIS. I almost always (talking 98% here) am glad that I worked out. You'll feel better, be more in control, and have a new tool in your tool box for stressful situations. you can do it!0 -

Well said Mary!0 -
I just did. I HATE working out in the evening but I overslept this morning and with work, I got home late. So I worked out at 9pm. I did something sort of light. You can do a run, or a yoga video. Just something to get you feeling better. Totally worth it.
Get off of here and just do it!!:bigsmile:0 -
Do it, it is not that late0
