Compulsive emotional eater seeks motivation.....

....if I could just find the inner strength to put my fork down then I might just see my weight going in the opposite direction.
All through my 30's I've just got bigger and at 38yrs now I have a new goal to be healthier by the time I'm 40. Eek, it's a big goal!

Maybe it's achievable if you stop thinking about this as inner strength and motivation, and change your goal to feeding yourself regularly and reliably, with the amounts you need of all the foods you like, and in return stop using food to (try to) ease emotions?

This is very true kommodevaran, I have a lot of bad habits to break but the emotional eating is the one I simply struggle to recognise - this I will work on.
