Yikes. Don't you hate when something gets posted before you're done updating it!

    Anyhoo, blush, to continue:
Success/ Struggles: still enjoying pondering my options now that I'm in my maintenance range: am gradually, and more haphazardly than I intended, reducing my daily deficit. At the same time, am thinking would be nice to be in the lower part of my range. I'll see how it goes and what's tolerable in the coming weeks and what's not! Wishing y'all a wonderful fresh new week!

Total Weight lost: 150 (at lowest wt so far)
Time it took to lose: 2 1/2 years
How long in maintenance: 9/20/16 first day of weight within maint range
    Maintenance weight range: 150-155

    Jan avg 154.3
    Feb avg 155.1
    March avg 155.9
    April avg 154.7
    May avg 155.4
June avg 155.4 (2 weeks only, gone rest of month)
    July avg 155.3
    Aug avg 155.6
    Sept avg 155.4

    10/1/17 156.6
    10/9/17 154.6
    10/15/17 153.4
    10/22/17 154.6

I even got into the 153s for several days which is where I would like to be. My trend line in back in range, which has been hard to do. I'm enjoying my Women on Weights class at the Y. The first week was bodyweight/resistance bands, last week was Precor machines, this week will be the cable machines. I've had to cut back my swimming schedule because I am limited how many times a week I can make the 35 minute trip to the Y, but that's ok. It's fun to learn some new options for weights. I've been doing a bit more on my elliptical at home and set a new PB yesterday. My "training goal" now is to improve my hiking endurance to 10 miles with 3000 ft elevation gain. If I can do that by next summer, I can hike just about any trail in our area. Currently I know I can do 2000 ft gain. My cardio is pretty good but always room to improve, it's mostly the leg endurance uphill and DOWN for that much change.

Successes of the week: Been getting my resistance workouts in.

Challenges of the week: Stretching and sleep still suffering. Had a bad night the other night with a binge that ended in a purge. Haven't done that in a verrrrrrry long time. I would say that I feel bad about it, but I am in a place where I am very detached from my emotions right now. So I am vaguely aware of what I feel, but it's buried pretty deeply under various self defenses, including food.

Good Morning. Glad to be here a second month with you all. I'm Joan. I have only be in Maintenance for 2 months. I lost 30# over approx 10 months. I started this journey month after having cervical disc surgery. I have extensive degenerative arthritis so I have restricted exercise activities, Ie... No running or jarring to the spine and some restrictions with lifting weights. I love to workout. It energizes me and makes me feel so good. I'm 5'4". 58 years young! My goal weight range is 125-128. Although I have aspirations of 120#, not sure if I could maintain that. Present weight today-126.2#! Yay! I did some struggling last month with trying to figure out this maintenance thing for myself. Others posts on this thread, have helped me a lot. This past week, I really have felt a lot less anxious and fearful of regaining. Looking forward to a great October! Don't ya just love Fall?

    Oct 20-weight 128.4#
I’m not too concerned. I’m still in my goal range. Plus I bumped up the amount of weight I’m lifting in my weight training workouts about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully weight is up some as I’m building more muscle!
Successes: It’s been one year since my surgery and I feel like I’m in the best shape I’ve been in years!!!

    Oct 27- weight- 127.8#
Down .6 #. Yay! ...from last week
Challenges this past week: I know I continue to snack too much in evening and still not getting enough water. Plan to try harder with these the coming week.
Successes: Not gaining more and staying in my goal maintenance weight range!

How long in maintenance: I called maintenance in July 2016, but I have continued to slowly lose so I'm not really sure.
    Maintenance weight range: 120 - 125 lbs

    9th October: 121.6 scale/ 121.4 trend
    16th October: 119.4 scale/ 120.9 trend
    23rd October: 120.4 scale/ 120.6 trend
    30th October:

Success/struggles of the week: My weight is back in my range and so far the trend has stayed in range too. I am trying to eat more calories daily, but sometimes it is difficult. I feel very satisfied on what I am eating and I feel very happy with my activity level. A few family members think I need to cut back my activity. They think I run too much and am too active but I think they are wrong. I don't think that 30 minutes of yoga 5 times per week and running 4 days (~16 miles per week) is excessive exercise. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so. I feel really good. I do have some loose skin and maybe that makes me look more wrinkled than before, but I am hoping that it will tighten up some. Besides, I'm 49 years old. I don't think I look older than 49, but I certainly don't look like I'm in my 20's like the last time I was this weight.

@kgirlhart You’re exercise routine is definitely not excessive. Sounds Superb to me. I totally agree with Icemom!

@nichell88 Congrats on your weight loss! Maintenance can be tough. So many of us are/were focused on losing weight and there is a ton of information out there on the subject. Maintenance, not so much. May I suggest you use the same structure and discipline regarding maintenance as you did for losing? You certainly can be more flexible, and as time goes on make adjustments. Maybe tighten things up as the weather turns colder and you might not be as active. Let yourself eat more when you are more active.

@CoachJen71 Hang in there, hun! We've got your back!
