What Has Been Your Worst Binge Since Joining MFP ?

I am curious. I do not binge often now and I no longer have the insane binges I used to when I was training really intensively, but I still find them upsetting when they do occur and for me, it is always on sweet, doughy things, cake or creamy, sweet things.
In terms of this post, I mean eating a large quantity of food in a short amount of time ... not just having a few hundred extra calories ... I am aware definitions vary from person to person, but it is more the compulsive eating of large amounts of food that I am curious about.
For me, my worst, way back on April 5th 2014, involved this little lot. As you can see, my total for that day was almost 6k calories. I did not gain weight from it. Unfortunately, I had a major issue back then with binge eating, but by some miracle, my weight remained 140 and I remained very lean, presumably because I trained 90-120 minutes, 5-6 days a week.

Outside of the normal overeating here and there for holidays, special occasions, random pool party BBQs, I don't think I've actually ever had a "binge." I can put away some calories at an all day and half the night pool party on a hot July day though...6

That sounds fun. Never, ever been to a pool party, just not a thing here in the Uk.
Maybe I should have titled this 'what has been your most calorific eating day?' lol. But I imagine for most, that would be Thanksgiving or Christmas.1 -
On my last free day before I started my diet I had two different kinds of Doritos, hot salted pretzels with cheese dip, copious amounts of pizza, lemon bars, and who knows how many reeses pb cups and kit kats. I was so sick afterwards.1

I eat and drink way more at a pool party than Thanksgiving or Christmas...my buddy has one about once per month during the summer and a bunch of us go over with our kids and whatnot...it's pretty much non stop ribs, brisket, baked beans, coleslaw, beer, and booze starting in the early afternoon and going well into the evening. I've never bothered even estimating my calories for those days...they're a lot.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are quite tame in comparison...Lol...4 -
I still struggle with binging, and I used to skip the logging when they happened, now I log it all. I've had a few big ones. Not sure of the actual calories or when it happened. But in an afternoon/evening I've consumed 6 donuts, a full pizza, a pint of ice cream and a few candy bars or a whole package of cookies. I'm guessing that amounts to about 4-6000 calories plus whatever I might have had for breakfast and lunch.
My family parties usually consist of non-stop eating and drinking where I can consume 6000 calories over the course of a day. Lots of appetizers, multiple main courses and a half dozen desserts along with wine and/or beer.
I hesitate to admit the quantity of food, but I'm hoping there won't be any shaming. And today I'm struggling to not go to the grocery store. I've had a good week so far, but today is hard.5 -
We have Halloween candy in the house now sooooo... keep you posted...4

Party at Shakey's. I started out well. Then had to try 3 different types of pizza, a piece of fried chicken, Mojo fries...all looked so good and was. Then of course had to have beer with the pizza....3 mugs. After that I figured a piece of birthday cake couldn't make it any worse. I was double my calories that day, but went on to make up for it in the week. Then did it again at a family reunion with the same foods. Guess I know my weakness.0

I know how you feel. I'm stressed at work. I use to always stop by the store before I got home. I haven't done so in the last two weeks. I always eat something salty, savory with a few glasses of wine. But I told myself that I won't cause I want to dip below 230 by Halloween....that's only 1 lb. but will be one of the hardest one's to lose. It will equal 20 lbs lost and a benchmark for me. I will resist and so can you!7 -
The last week, I come home from work and stress eat which isn't a good way to cope. I am too ashamed to even list what I consumed.0

Logging is the last thing I wanna do when I’m in binge mode. Although, it would be a good thing to do because logging would interrupt my crazy episodes. I tried to estimate once and it was around 6,000. It wasn’t accurate though.0

OK, this thread makes me feel a little better Mine was actually yesterday. After doing 65 minutes of cardio, instead of eating my string cheese and grapes, I had half a bag of potato chips dipped in ranch dressing (the real homemade kind, not store-bought). Probably ~3/4 cup of ranch dressing. I felt like crap afterward though, and didn't eat dinner.0

I tried to hit 10,000 calories last Thanksgiving, just to see if I could. I tapped out at about 4,500.4 -
I've eaten a case of Hi-Chew candy (similar to starburts) in 1 sitting. That's 220ish cals per pack, 12 packs per case, 2600 cals total, roughly.
I've eaten a package of pull-apart cookie dough on the way home from the grocery store... 180 calories per cookie, 12 cookies... 2160 cals total.
I've eaten a box of munchkins on the way to work... ~1700 cals.
I've eaten 2 bacon, egg and cheese bagel combos from McDonalds on the way into work... ~ 1850 cals.
And don't even get me started on take-out/fast food...
- boneless wing bites + bacon cheeseburger from Applebee's: ~ 2000 cals
- baconator combo + chicken nugget combo from Wendy's: ~ 2800 cals
- breakfast pizza from local pizza place: ~3000 cals
So yeah... I have an unhealthy relationship with food.1 -
I wouldn’t call it a binge since it was controlled but I finally did the 10k calories challenge.
Thank you Costco1 -
The Halloween candy is gone.6

Two packages of glutino crackers and a large tub of cottage cheese
Four apples and half a jar of peanut butter
A whole family sized box of Cheerios
I have no idea how many calories, I can't even imagine.0 -
I've struggled with Binge Eating Disorder (BED) ever since a traumatic experience that happened 13 years ago. I just recently broke a 75-day streak of not-binging but had one yesterday. I still feel good about my progress though because it used to happen VERY often and sometimes for several days in a row. Now it's a rare thing, and they're not nearly as bad as they used to be.
This is embarrassing to admit but I hope that maybe admitting how badly I've binged at times can help other people who feel alone in that struggle. My worst one consisted of, over the course of maybe 5 or 6 hours:
* An entire large frozen rising-crust pepperoni pizza
* An entire box of mac & cheese with extra cheese on top
* Two double-cheeseburgers from McDonalds
* A pint of Ben & Jerry's
* 1.5 bottles of wine
* Other stuff that I mindlessly munched on until I finally gave in to the binge craving
I was stuffed to the point of feeling sick and in pain, but I couldn't stop. I had zero control. It was like I was possessed. Many times I've over-eaten a LOT but for me, I only consider it a binge when I get that "out of control" feeling and can't seem to stop even when I want to. Last night was a HUGE double-cheeseburger from Farmer Boys (as in, could barely get my mouth around it to get a bite), 4 HUGE fried zucchini sticks (the equivalent of an entire large zucchini), and half of a large bag of fries....I was overly stuffed but only considered it a full-on binge when I went on to eat 10+ "fun size" candy bars even though I knew I needed to stop.

I love this post. Makes me feel like I'm not alone. I was starting to think I was the only one on here who had serious binge problems. (Like, 2000+ calories in one sitting binges...)1
-
My last binge, I ate a dozen doughnuts and 2 cartons of ice cream over the course of a weekend, in addition to my regular meals. That's something like 9-10k extra calories.0
-
Worst binge for me is always on Thanksgiving, and usually around 4500 calories. When I have random binge days it's more like 3500.0

Ben & Jerry's is a common theme I see.
I haven't binged in a while but I just pack in calories dense food, not large amounts.
Pint of Peach melba gelato (Talento brand I think? )
3 Doritos loco tacos and nachos with cheese and guac
Large root beer
2 Little Debbie Oatmeal Double Decker cakes

The 7 pieces of bitesize candies i ate yesterday, plus popeyes a few weeks ago5

I am recovered from binge eating disorder and have a whole lot of 10k+ Calorie days on record. As mentioned above, I only consider it a binge when I’m out of control, feeling possessed and consumed, full to the point of physical pain, but unable to stop eating.
Some notable items I’ve binged on (combined in various ways at various times):
-an entire pork shoulder
-1/2 or as much as a complete cake (like a 9” round 2-layer cake)
-multiple packages of Oreos
-pounds of cherry tomatoes
-dozen (or more) donuts
-entire bags of Halloween/xmas/Easter candy bars (more than one bag)
-pizza (the whole thing)
I also have a lot of high calorie days (6-8k) after multi-hour Training runs. Those weren’t binges though-just a huge case of the rungries.
I’ve frequently wondered if I would break Mfp with all the binges and high calorie day’s I’ve logged.

Lets just say one day I had a crapton of ice cream in one day & I mean a crapton of ice cream.0

Could I ask what on earth munchkins are and pull apart cookie dough? Never come across that here.0 -

Munchkins are donut holes from Dunkin Donuts and pull apart cookie dough is refrigerated cookie dough that you pull apart and bake...or eat raw3 -
Yesterday I ate over 6,000 calories for no reason... nearly 4,000 calories over my goal. I ate an entire container of doughnut holes, 2 packages of ramen noodles, chips and cheese dip, munchies, chili, even had some salad thinking that eating something healthy would make me want to stop, but wasn't long before I was eating candy, popcorn and chips again.
I haven't done anything like that since I started on here in May, I have been taking a break at maintenance this past week, which I thought would help with this sort of thing, but the opposite happened. Ended up skipping out on school and work because I felt so sick.
I hope that this was just a one time thing.0 -
I'll spare you the details, but it was just before Christmas last year when the notorious piles of food gifts arrived. I quit logging at 7000.2
