Bright line eating

Been doing BLE since July, lost 30 #, at half way point. No flour,sugar,snacks,and weighing my food. People don't get it. Not for faint of heart. But you can do it.

Glad you have found something that works for you.
I took the easy less torturous route of eating all the food I love, just less of it.
Calorie counting to keep me in a deficit was all that was needed.
I exercised for health.

Some can do it, sure, but why would I need to do it when I've found an easier more pleasant way to manage my weight without removing any of the above? I'm glad you found something that works for you, but it isn't necessary for weight loss.
I got curious about this program when it was mentioned a few days ago in another post and when I looked into it I found the principle of it more harmful for me personally. Treating food as an addiction gives food power over me. It makes me feel like it's something I can't control, when really, I can. Looking at it as a habit is much more productive for me. Habits can be changed and replaced. Focusing on developing habits geared at successful calorie management involves an action plan with logical steps that keeps me busy with real constructive actions. Being deathly afraid of "addictive foods" and drawing lines built on fear does my diet more harm than good.12 -
Good for you. I've listened to some of her book. As a recovering alcoholic with over 23 yrs and a food addict it's a great & the same concept of AA. Sustainable not sure but I relate to binge eating and when I eat flour & processed sugar I just can't stop just like I did with drugs/alcohol. Not everyone understands that process and we all need to do what works for us.
