I've been gymming for about 10 months now, and only recently started eating correctly. I really want to lose fat and gain muscle.

I am lucky that I have natural muscles, but I really want to get my body to the best it can be.

I am eating 1200 calories and burning at least 200 calories in cardio daily. I also do medium to heavy weight training. I do legs twice a week, abs twice a week and back, chest, biceps & triceps (together) every other day.

I have started with intermittent fasting and fast for 16 hours from 20:00 - 12:00. I drink about 2,25 litres of water every day.

Can anyone give me advice regarding my diet as well as exercise?

Thanks for reading!

Without knowing more about you, my generic advice regarding building muscle would be eat more (protein) calories and do little to no cardio.

Doing the same thing. My trainer has me at higher protein and low carbs. The exact values are depending on your body type and where your at now. For me some days are 0 carbs which is hard to do but it’s mainly meat and veggies those days.

    Losing fat? Or gaining muscle?
If you're in a deficit you're losing fat/weight, maintenance calories would be recomp (if you're at goal weight or quite lean), calorie surplus would be gaining muscle (and fat)...
    (plus, vegies are carbs..)

OP, with only 1200 calories plus cardio and training, I doubt you're going to be gaining anything. It's likely that your calorie intake is unnecessarily low, which may cause issues long term that may make it difficult for to achieve your fat loss goals

Without any stats, it's hard to make recommendations
