Not important
Well... Breaking your fast is important or you'd starve. Eating when you get up is not important2 -
Hopefully not at all cause I never eat it! I mean they isn’t really true I do love IHOP for supper, just not before 2pm.1

Breakfast is the first meal of the day, and to eat every day is generally believed to be a good idea. When to eat breakfast, is up to you.2

It's my favorite meal of the day and sometimes I look forward to bed simply because it's followed by breakfast.2

Breakfast is literally me breaking my fast. So its huge...like 1 pound of chicken and .5 pounds of veggies huge...plus toast...with peanut butter.1

I think everyday is different, your body lets you know what's best. If you wake up and your hungry, then yes you need to eat breakfast that day but if you're not hungry, then wait until you are. Most of the time I'm not hungry until 11am so that's when I eat but sometimes I wake up starving and that's when I eat. Before I started my lifestyle change, I woke up with my stomach growling, every single day but now it's maybe once every week and a half or so. That's just my opinion lol2

I eat when hungry, typically between 0900 and 1030, but i am up at 0530 so its generally a good 4 to 5 hours after waking. I eat when I am hungry. My OH however, what a pain, he has to eat before doing anything, including walking the dog so i end up eating breakfast with him first thing else it would be difficult to eat it at another time. Normally as soon as we are done walking the dog we are onto other things such as the CrossFit box or hill walking. I'd love to walk our dog first and then eat but he just refuses to move if i try and suggest doing it that way round.0

For me, its important. Not sure how much accurate medical evidence there is for protein timing, but I try to eat after working out in the morning before work. That means eating between 8-8:30 am during the week.
My mid day meal happens when it happens ( I'm both hungry and have time ). And my evening meal is again after working out.
Honestly, sometimes I'm eating when not hungry, and sometimes I'm hungry but waiting to eat. Some days, if I wasn't eating based on a nutrition plan / schedule, I would be severely under or over eating, which would ruin my progress/cause a regression.
You have to do what feels right to you, and fits. For me, that's a good dose of protein early in the day.0 -
Eat breakfast when you're hungry. My husband eats as soon as he's up; I have a cup of coffee and eat later, usually about two/two and a half hours after I wake.0

Time of day, size and number of meals makes no difference to weight loss. Divvy up your food consumption any way you want. I have "breakfast" around noon and "supper" around 7 pm and the rest is snacking. Works for me.0

It's important if you are hungry when you wake up...if I don't eat by 7:10am I'm grumpy. Lots of people can get away with not eating until lunch. Not this girl...
Mealtime, size, and occurance is totally irrelevant in weight loss. You have a calorie bank. Spend it as you like in a 24hr period.0
