Do you find them men prefer women with long hair? Very recently donated my long hair and find them both men and women are constantly questioning my sexuality now that I have a pixie.

I recently got a pixie hair cut 2 months ago, and I immediately decided I'll be trying to grow it out. Yes, I do find that men do prefer women with long hair. I used to get hit on a lot by guys which did make me feel me comfortable, and now not at all which is definitely a positive!!
Yes, I also think some people think I'm like maybe a lesbian or not into guys at all. It's been a year for you @olgamarie940 people still treating you the same?
I was doing a search on pixie cut, and this post came up felt bad it didn't get a reply, so thought of chiming in.0 -
Congrats on donating your hair. That is a great thing to do.
Do YOU like your hair? That's all the matters
Ive had every length from my current pixie to long hair that fell to my bottom. Ive been married forever so I have never been concerned with what others think. My husband loves me either way Actually, he refuses to comment cuz he knows Im just going to do what I want to do anyways. lol4 -

Don't worry. A classmate named Chris had said person's sexuality incorrectly identified in a front page story of the local newspaper one Sunday. Monday, Chris came to school with his first haircut. Buzzed.
BTW, anyone who's interested in the gender of a person with a pixie cut probably already does recognize your curvy parts.0 -

That’s also the beauty of short hair. Don’t like it? Wait.

OP - things I find really scream femme when I wear them with short hair are:
- eye make up (short hair accentuates long lashes, and a little attention to your eyes really makes them pop).
- statement earrings. Wowweee. They’re not competing with straggles of hair. This is the perfect time to show them off and bonus they are actually super fashionable right now.
- dramatic neckline (again, gets all the attention as it’s not competing with hair)
If you want to feel more classically feminine you could play around with those things.

I've had a pixie cut for several years now. I can't say how many women say they love my cut and that they wish that they were brave enough or had the bone structure for it. I've been single for a while and have only had one guy make a negative comment. It was on a dating site and he sent me a message calling me a slur. I wish I had been quick to respond with what I thought up later, but I was so surprised I just deleted it right away.2

Some men like long hair, some like short. What do YOU like? It's your hair. Hair length has nothing to do with sexual orientation. If people are really questioning yours then they have too much time on their hands and it's none of their business. It sounds like you feel insecure about it. I don't spend too much energy caring about what other people think of me, outside of the people who know me and care about me. I'd rather be true to myself and find someone who appreciates that. I admit that It took me until my mid 40's to cut my hair really short. I'm sorry I didn't do it earlier. It's a much more edgy look that fits with my style. The cut did wonders for my eyes and I bought more earrings. I rock the *kitten* out of hot dresses now. And, yes, I get compliments but I'm not looking for them because I'm happily married. My husband likes my hair shorter so win/win.
Donating your hair was a nice thing to do!3 -
I think pixie cuts are awesome, but not on everyone. I don't think it would look good on me - I have an angular face and long hair softens it (I think)0

I like pixie cuts - it's easier to get to the neck2

Who cares what men prefer?3

I do think it also depends on what part of the country in which you live. When I was in the southern Midwest, people would assume I was a lesbian and a few kids asked if I was a boy or a girl. When I moved to a more progressive part of the country, a lot more women (straight women) had short hair, and no one even looked twice.
I wear my hair short because it's very thick and heavy, way too hard to control, and was wearing my scalp down with its weight. I could not give a crap what anyone thinks of it because they don't pay my bills and they don't have to take care of it.2 -
[quote="newmeadow;c-40778305" Also, a dash of rouge and some modest lip color will highlight your femininity, which, by the way, is very exotic and intoxicating judging by your avatar. Why did you donate your beautiful hair while at the peak of your youthful vitality? How urgent was the cause?[/quote]
Wow! I can't believe you wrote this. She doesn't need to do anything for make-up to satisfy you. Nor does she need to justify why she donated her hair to you. She obviously is a kind person who wanted to help others!

I prefer my hair short - it's baby fine and looks limp if I grow it out. My husband rarely comments on my hair but if it gets too long he asks, "Are you going to cut your hair short again?" I don't like to mess with it too much unless I want to make it spiky. If someone needs to look at my hair to determine my sex, they have a problem, not me, and I don't care.2

When I had my pixi cut my brother constantly called me a homosexual slur. I only remember one guy even mentioning it but he thought it was some new venture I guess. Wow, I've never dated a girl with short hair! Don't leave that comfort zone often? A lot more people complimented my head shape and told me that they could never pull that off. I'm from the south and the vast majority of guys from my area prefer their women with long hair but do what you want anyways.1

I've never considered what men think. I love my pixie cuts. I guess my husband just likes me happy.2

I find men in general prefer long hair but the question is are you trying to attract men in general, or one awesome guy who loves you and will think you look gorgeous no matter what?💕
I shaved my head in college and a lot of normal men ignored me or thought I was gay. But I had a boyfriend who actually preferred short hair on women. He loved women who were really strong, cool, confident and bad-A. Or sort of innocent and pixie like. So short hair represented that to him. In a way he really respected women and loved their strength. He was loyal and devoted and loved me without a condition that I had to act or look a certain way. I felt bad for the girls whose boyfriends had a wandering eye or told them to wear mini skirts etc.
In India it’s common for women to shave the head as part of a religious rite at temples - they give their hair as a gift to God. It’s really beautiful and when you see women there with shaved head or short hair, unless they are a nun, it’s often because of that. So there is a really sweet connotation of that look.
Long hair seems to have a biological advantage in terms of sex attraction- however if we base a relationship, which many of us do, on that initial sex attraction , it can be very fragile. If that person puts so much emphasis on the sex plane they may not be able to have a good relationship.
If the relationship has a spiritual basis (nothing to do with religion necessarily but with a soul connection and similarity of ideals) then it creates a more solid long term foundation. All the other elements , mental social emotional and physical , should line up too but alone they are not enough.
I only say this to illustrate a point about appearance and attraction . They are fleeting and not only that but they are deceiving.
Someone who puts all the emphasis on looks will soon get bored.
I have been every hair color and found that men by far respond to blonde hair. It just triggers something and to be honest I find it annoying. Whenever I was blonde men would not leave me alone, called me honey and smiled at me a lot. It was kind of creepy tbh. As soon as I would go brunette , even on the same day with same outfit, they would leave me alone.
They seemed to respect me more.
And I met my husband and life soul mate as a brunette. He is the real deal and worth a bazillion of those other men.
This doesn’t mean that a blonde has less of a chance of getting a good guy, just that I had to weed through all the men that liked me just because I was blonde (and you wouldn’t believe how many that was).
Now I can go to Home Depot in peace!!!🤣🤣🤣
So enjoy your pixie while you have it!! I think you will attract perhaps less “quantity”, but more “quality” . And I would prefer that any day!
Sorry to write a novel ! Hope my humble opinion helps in some way !!🙏🏽
