I’m trying to losing 20lbs starting today too! Although that’s a little much per a month (unless you’re doing the Atkins diet), I’m looking at losing 14-16lbs this month. People will automatically tell you that it’s unhealthy to lose that much weight in thirty days but it only depends on how you do it. I scrutinize my calorie intake so I am right on the mark for losing weight; no more no less. I work security full time, go to college full time, and I am a part time real estate agent. I eat healthy and still have energy to do it all. The key for me is eating what ever I want for breakfast, have a wrap or salad for lunch, and typically a salad for dinner. Keep in mind that I am not exercising either. I started at 270lbs and today I’m 220. Keep it up!

That's just a little over 1% of your current bodyweight a week. Not unreasonable for YOU to lose. If someone is 150lbs, then that's different.
