I LOVE Skinny Taste (http://www.skinnytaste.com/), and I know I'm not alone in this! I can never decide what to make next, so I was wondering, what is everyone favourite recipe from the site?

I have not cooked from this yet but tend look at it often must pic something

    whats easy and good?
  • I made the Nachos (using ground turkey) and I also made the homemade pico de gallo (which my boyfriend said put the mexican restaurants to shame). We loved both.

I have the Bruschetta Chicken receipe at home now, it's my next venture.

Easy Cheddar Biscuits - really good and really easy. i have never make biscuits and they were very simple and good to make. not a huge difference from the fatty ones @ Red Lobster. My family liked them a lot. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/02/garlic-cheddar-biscuits.html

Chicken Pot Pie Soup - really good. took a while to make though. I loved the end texture of it. You have to wait until the end to get the full effect. I had my doubts about it the whole way making it. It makes A LOT, but it went fast because it was so good. My family also liked this. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011_01_08_archive.html

Baked Lump Crab Cakes - Ok. Took a while to get ready (and then put them in the fridge so they stick together better) and yada yada yada. They turned out ok. They look better than they taste. They are kind of bland. I didn't try the sauce. I am sure that would have probably made them better. This was a bit of a disappointment. Family said they were "ok" as well. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/04/baked-lump-crab-cakes-with-red-pepper.html

Asparagus with Dijon Vinaigrette - When I first made this I really really liked it. It was different. It was great. My family didn't care for it at all. I made this a couple more times and liked it. Then, I made it for a friend and SHE LOVED IT. She is crazy about the sauce. She wants to put the sauce on everything from protein to every vegetable produce imaginable. I am just ok with it now. It is a nice way to spice up asparagus, but I am at the point where I just prefer the asparagus plain. So this had a mixed reception. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2008/06/sauteed-asparagus-with-dijon.html

Creamy Cauliflower Puree - Made a huge batch the first time. Just be warned ... the Cauliflower goes a long way. Make sure you blend it very very well. The more blended the more like mashed potatoes it feels like. I liked it. It was ok. It was doable. I was surprised at what a good "trick" it was because the better blended batch really had a very similar consistency and appearance and even slight taste of mashed potatoes. My family hated it. They said it was far too garlicy and they disliked the consistency and just everything about it. Ended up throwing the huge batch out when no one ate it after a week. :( Haven't made it since. You might really love it, but be warned that the cauliflower does go a long way. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/03/creamy-cauliflower-puree.html

Baked Chipotle Sweet Potato Fries - Big no. I made two batches of these because the first batch was so bad (tasted horrible and cooked wrong); thinking I had to have done something wrong. The seasoning was just sooo bad and I love all things spicy and zesty. Nope. Hated it. So I put salt, parsley, and olive oil mix on them instead. Better tasting, but still... uh... no. Too much work for too little and they are not that great. I have had some really awesome sweet potato fries that were low cal in my "lifestyle change day" and these cannot compare at all. Bad. Family also hated them. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/11/baked-chipotle-sweet-potato-fries.html

I love this blog and while I've experienced some "nos" that is ok because the food that is a "yes" was really good. So many things look so awesome on there and I have my eye on a ricotta/spinach stuffed chicken next!!! Probably my fav would be the Chicken-Pot-Pie Soup.

I mentioned my "nos" here too so that if you have a different opinion, let me know! maybe I did something wrong and also to perhaps save someone some trouble.

I'm going to try the chicken tikka soon because it's one of my favourite dishes from the Indian take-away, but that versions oaded with fat, so looking forward to trying a light version. I must try the fiesta lime rice soon too.

The Stuffed Peppers made with ground turkey & rice. I didn't have the ground turkey at home, but I used lean ground beef and it was amazing! Very good!

Zesty Lime Shrimp and Avocado Salad - freakin' amazing. My husband, who rolls his eyes when I serve something "healthy" or "light" wants this once a week.

Cuban Picadillo - I ate this with rice, on tortillas, in a salad...it's versatile and satisfies the Mexican craving.

I recently found her blog thanks to someones comment on this site and can't wait to try somethings. Her mac and cheese being one of the first and also the Red Velvet cupcakes which literally had me drooling as I read about them. I must say one of the fun things about making the healthy lifestyle change this time around has been finding just how many good for you recipes are out there that don't taste as good for you as what I remember from past attempts.

The chicken enchilladas. They are a bit involved but very yummy!

These were great! I made them twice but tweaked it a little. So worth the time it takes to make them.

I think I have a new favorite website. Thank you so much!! I just started keeping track this week and Monday was easy, Tuesday I felt hungry all day and today I find myself wanting to snack even though I am not hungry. Thanks again, I am going to write out a grocery list after looking through some of those recipes :)

I LOVE this site and have tried many of her recipes, but the ones I repeat the most are the balsamic steak and tomato (SO YUM!), Barbacoa Pork (slow cooker pulled pork - so good on rice or in a burrito), Southwest Black Bean Salad, Carne Bistec (Columbian steak), Chicken Ropa Vieja (slow cooker pulled chicken), Sante Fe Chicken, Shrimp Creole, Asian Turkey Meatballs, and Chicken Tikka Masala.

As you can see, I like her recipes for main entrees, and I haven't yet made one I don't like.

Also tried the cauliflower puree, homemade oven fries, cuban style black beans and beet salad.

Actually, I wasn't fussy for the shepherd's pie.

I love this site! Never ever before, have I been able to cook healthy & REALLY tasty food for the family.

I've cooked her meals every night for the last week and a half. Brilliant!

My favourite (so far) has to be her Asian Peanut Chicken. Yummo!

Hubby is a chef (one that never cooks at home) and has said that these meals are restaurant quality!

    Love love love it!

  • I tried the baked seasoned fries and they were very good. My brother and mom loves these very much but whole wheat pancakes was a no no for me. Maybe I messed up in the process but they were odd tasting?

I have her Chicken Tikka Masala on the menu for later this week! I'm excited to try it.

We've had the Spinach Lasagna Rolls, and they were a hit at my house.

I LOVED the Asian Glazed Drumsticks - absolutely delicious with rice and steamed broccoli.

A friend of mine recommended it to me - she's tried a number of the desserts and really likes them.
