Just wanted everyone to know that I was dancing while hanging laundry today. The neighbor kids came over to dance and help hang (mostly they handed things to me after the twirled with them). Their mother came over to check on them. We ALL ended up dancing, laughing, and hanging laundry. It goes to show exercise rewards in so many unexpected ways.0

According to Lose 5lbs+ in July, I was the biggest % loss - so I mailed my optional challenge in, but for those of you who want to get started: here it is (Enjoy)
DANCE. Find a spot, crank on your favorite songs and dance for 10 minutes. Any style, just keep it moving. Use your arms, use your legs, stretch out those moves. If you are really into it sing along with the radio. It will give your lungs a work out too. An additional challenge, try to do something nice for another person each day.
I did Zumba for 60 minutes, so I guess I'm good for a few days....lol0 -

Just checking in! I have this huge law school writing competition going on and its stressful and boring, not a good combination to make me want to work out. But It feels good to come on here and draw from all of your motivations and inspiring stories! I will get my INSANITY workout in before the end of the day, because I know it will make me feel great after! Consistency is always my problem so I have to fight through the urge to skip!

This is the first challenge I've joined. If someone could message me the way this works that would be great. Also, my usual weigh in day is a Saturday or Sunday morning. Can't do week days due to work. Is it okay for me to say, for example, weigh in on Sat 6th or Sun 7th and use that for my weight for Mon 8th??
Another question: how do I report my weekly progress. Do I reply to this message thread?

I just finished creating the spreadsheet for this month. We have 67 people to start off the month with 26 of those people returning from previous months. I still need all of the numbers from Beckiesfitnes and 99clmsntger. Scoobies87 I also need your goal for the month.
Good luck everyone with reaching your goal for this month. We will have optional weekly challenges that the biggest loser from each week we determine for the group. This week it is dancing for 5 mins a day (I do belive that is the time). Start thinking about what you would like to do for a mini challenge if you happen to be the biggest loser of the week.
For those that asked where do you post your weekly results. You will use this thread for the entire month of August. I found monotonous, boring school work a GREAT reason to go to the gym - is it procrastinating when you're doing something HEALTHY?!? haha Good luck on both!

I did that a lot last semester but then I tried to bring study guides with me when i was on the elliptical and bicycle. I once saw a guy reading a book while on the bicycle machine!0 -
I finished dancing and did push-ups today. three miles on the elliptical and a short stair workout. I have not be losing much this week, but I felt lousy yesterday when I didn't do the miles. I know exercise is an endorphin fix for me. It makes me happy.0

A loss of 2 pounds! I'm chuffed as I've been rather naughty ( I feel like anyway) with my choice of food this week, and was convinced nothing would've budged. I've also lost a couple of inches all over!
Bmfrazie, as you can see from this and my sig, I made a miscalculation in my initial posting, due to my wii being inaccurate. I'm sorry if this messes up your spreadsheet! I went and bought generic bathroom scales instead.
