Will you log foods on Thanksgiving or no?

I log all my meals, Thanksgiving will be no different. BUT... I do now make crustless pumpkin pies and use fat free evaporated milk, so that the most high calorie part of the meal is still calorie friends. ;-)4

Yes.
I always log what I eat. My body keeps an accurate record, so I like to as well.
Agree with this^
All calories count so all calories should be counted. If you're counting calories at all you're essentially conducting a science experiment on yourself and data collection requires precision and completeness.14 -

I'm so jealous, I wish I could get a run in but the weather tells me otherwise and I have to get the house ready for guests.1 -

I lost my mind and signed up for a turkey trot First ever organized 5K. It's supposed to rain. I expect I will be useless starting directly after dinner.6 -
Likely not. It's one day and I actually have never been a thanksgiving food lover, so it won't be hard for my to practice some self control. Maybe I will get up early and get a work out in, though.1

Ill log but it will all be general entries from the data base, and I don't plan on going crazy.
Ill enjoy the day and eat what I want and will probably be over6 -

That's the way I'm viewing the next year, as a science experiment with myself as the subject, complete control over the variables, and daily data recording. It's changed my mindset from "OMG, I gained a pound today, might as well fall into a vat of ice cream and eat my way out." to "Hmm, interesting data point. Tomorrow will likely be different."
In that context, Thanksgiving will be an outlier in the dataset but still needs to be recorded. It can't be worst than the way I ate everyday before CICO.

Yep, just as much as usual. Losing weight during the holiday season, rather than gaining again, is the initial motivator for me in starting this quest. Thursday will be a strong indicator of how successful I will be through New Years and the ski season.6

I'll be doing a giblet gravy detox cleanse on Thanksgiving day, so no logging needed.
To actually contribute something, I'm one of your friendly northern neighbours and we had Thankgiving last month and I don't ever log it (not when I was losing, not in maintenance like I am now.) However, I make sure that it is one meal, and not four days of snacking and stealing leftovers and bathing in wine and/or gravy. It's only when I kind of throw up my hands and stop exercising self-discipline for days/weeks on end that I suddenly can't get my pants buttoned, and I've learned my lesson.
For me what works is to enjoy the day but get back to normal afterwards and not turn the entirety of the holiday season into a gluttonous free-for-all.
I usually pick 1 event per week at this time of year when I can indulge and not track, but if I have more events than one in a week, I have to make it fit into my day and not go over. I'm a petite person and it doesn't take much to upset the balance for me, so I do try to be cognizant of what is happening (and weigh myself weekly) so I don't end up having to cut hard in January since it's such a bummer.4 -
Yes, I log every day.
I have logged the past couple of Thanksgiving holiday meals.3 -
I approximate. I have a recipe which is called "Thanksgiving Dinner" which has the minimum amounts of the standard things I typically eat. The whole recipe is one serving and it's somewhere in the tune of 2200 calories last I checked for the one meal haha. I just log that and call it a day knowing full well I probably hit the 3000 to 4000 calorie mark. Only things I watch on Thanksgiving are proteins and fiber, I try to hit my macros and exceed the protein, beyond that it's a free for all.5

I will be logging, but it's with the knowledge that I'll more than likely be going over. I don't cheat often, so this will be one of those times. But I'm not stressing about it---I'll save that for the morning after when I have to walk it off2

Yes, Im logging and not having my usual indulgences (stuffing smothered in spiked cranberry relish). I'm having some physical health issues and eating like that , even if it's one day will cause me discomfort. In a way I'm counting it as a blessing, because I still am 20 from goal, don't need it to be any more than that.3

I keep track of everything I eat everyday.
Doing this allows me to maintain my weight and not gain the past 4+ years. So I'm going to continue.9 -
No. It's just the one day. The same will be true for Christmas.4
-
No, I don't and this statement applies to Xmas eve and day, and to NY eve and day too. And it doesn't matter if I cook the meal or if I eat at somebody else's house or at a restaurant.
I don't eat many of the holidays treat or plates/meals anyway because they are usually cooked with cinnamon So I save a lot of calories just eating turkey and vegies.2 -
Yes since I am staying home and cooking it. I only eat 1 very large meal course with dessert which is the most important part.. I will need know how many pieces of dessert I can have and I will probably have another one later on in the day.6
-
Absolutely. And I'm not overeating. I'm spending turkey day with my Dad for the first time in 20 years. He's a chef and cooked all the food I ate growing up. My happiest childhood memories revolve around him and food. A few months ago he had to go on insulin and it's been stressful for him. So we're going to eat amazing food, but we're going to be healthy and mindful about it. It's actually the first time I've been excited about Thanksgiving in a long, long time.12

Well our Thanksgiving up here was last month and I tried my best to guestimate (and previous years, and Xmases) but I don't get up and weigh my portions on those occasions, I eyeball them and try to keep track of how often I put my snout back in the trough. If anything I try to make conservative estimates (on the high side) because by the second pre-dinner cocktail, and the third bottle of wine, and the Baileys coffees afterwards I am almost certainly missing something.7
