Hi guys!
I'm currently on my weight loss journey, I am 5ft 11 and 12st 3lb so I am an ideal weight. But,,.im not happy. I take a certain tablet which has made me gain a stone in a month. Now I'm struggling to loose anything.
I got to the gym every night of the week, and do cardio and resistance training. I have cut calories and still nothing! I also have hip fat which gives me a muffin top!!!
I'm now thinking it's not how much I'm eating but WHAT I'm eating. Anyone have any ideas on healthy breakfast, snacks and lunch? I work in an office to sitting down all day don't help. But I'm a fussy eater so I need some reccomendarions.
Thank you! X

No, it's not what you are eating, but how much you are eating.
You don't have to exercise to lose weight. But if you want to lose weight, you need to eat less - fewer calories than you burn, and consistently. How are you controlling your food intake?
A healthy diet is balanced and varied. You can eat anything you like for all meals.
If you are a fussy eater and need meal ideas, at least tell us what you like and don't like4 -
Agreed with the above...it's not what but how much....and the tablet hasn't made you gain anything...it has no calories.
It may have increased your appetite..but that's it.
and eating "healthy" whatever that means, doesn't guarantee weight loss either.1 -
what is the 'certain tablet'?
fussy how? more information is needed if you want useful advice.2 -

So a typical day for me is, 2 weetabix with skimmed milk for breakfast, a belvita bar and an apple for snack, chicken and wholeness rice for lunch, and then dinner is usually quite big0

What you're eating is going to be less important (for weight loss) than how much of it you're eating. Are you logging quantities? How many calories a day are you typically eating? And how accurate is your measurement?
If you're logging, consider opening your diary. We may be able to help you troubleshoot.3 -

Are there any other foods you like? To help you answer - do you like any other grains, incuding pasta and bread, fruits, including berries and dried fruit, meats? Do you eat any kinds of fish? Eggs? Vegetables, raw or cooked? Nuts or nut butters?0 -
I'm about 5'11.5-6' and I don't start liking my weight until I'm down to 160 lbs (11 stone 6) and my goal weight, which is in my profile picture, is down to 142 lbs (10 stone 2). In order to do this, I have to measure the calories I'm eating using a food scale. I put a plate on the scale, zero it out, add 1 ingredient, log, zero it out, etc. I'm a vegetarian and a lot of foods I eat are healthy but easy to overeat or underestimate: brown rice, beans, nuts, spreads.
Try counting your calories using a food scale and you're likely to watch the weight fall off.1 -

Right?
Sounds rather carb-tastic to me.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight, it really is as simple as that.0 -

I'd be starving and feeling deprived with a diet like that. I'm older, therefore on a 1200 calorie diet, which seems low to many but I eat well. I have small, full breakfasts (around 300 calories) with large omelets, bacon or sausage or hot or cold cereals and fruit, today was a waffle w/butter heaped with blueberries and 2 turkey sausage. For lunch I again eat around 300 calories and eat a couple ounces of protein plus a large stir fry of vegetables or salad or soup. I usually have a snack of fruit in the afternoon and sometimes small protein snack like hard boiled egg, beef jerky, nuts. I eat a typical American home-style dinner 400-450 calories with 4 ounces meat/poultry/fish, 1/2 cup potato, grain, or pasta, and 3/4 cup of vegetables with butter or margarine. For dessert I eat diet ice cream, pudding or Jello parfaits and sometimes popcorn with very light butter. I have no problem logging between 1200-1400 calories a day, which is appropriate when I add some exercise. I'm losing weight at about 1 lb per week. My macros are set at 40% carb/30% fat/25% protein, but that is really just where my eating habits put me....no science behind it. Hope this gives you some ideas.
