If say it's more like a taco than a sandwich. Now what would putting the hot dog in the taco be?

If you turn the hot dog upside down and put it on top of the taco it would be a calzone. If you put the hot dog right side up in the taco it would just be a larger taco.

I always considered a hot dog a sandwich, but now I'm second guessing that.

So what is a pita then? A taco also? Or is it a taco or burrito depending on if you stuff the two halves or stuff it and roll it?

I always thought soft shell tacos were burritos. I would guess that a pita is a taco too.

    Is a pizza a pie?

    No. It is a tostada.

Hmmmm..... that's a good one. Is the crust a calzone attached to a tostada? Or is it just a tostada with extra cheese?

So now I'm considering the difference between calzone and panzerottis....
    And pierogies vs dumplings

A hot dog is just a hot dog. Like a slice of pizza is just a pizza. A taco TO ME would be soft or hard shells. All my thoughts so if you wanna tell me I'm wrong don't waste your time lol

Absurd, maybe. But a fact is a fact. Both can be food made of flour, water, and yeast or another leavening agent, mixed together and baked, eaten hot or cold, typically with a savory filling.

I believe pierogies are a type of dumpling, although, they could also be calzones.

Also I don't see a difference with calzone and panzerottis.
