Did you ever have this irrational fear as a kid / teenager / young adult?

A fear that your mom might abandon you if she got mad about something, even if it was small or had nothing to do with you? Like throw you out of the house or just walk out of the house herself - and not come back?
I don't have this fear, just curious :).

    No. I never felt like that ever with my mom.
    As a parent to a teen I have days I consider walking out the door and just keep going though.

    Yes actually...I have what I have self diagnosed as "abandonment issues".
    From both of my parents and from a "best friend".

    I feel this way about everyone I care about and it hurts a lot and makes me not want to even try
