actually no not unhealthy unless your body requires more. normally i run off of 800 to 1000 with 1200 or more (just for the holidays because not everything is as nutritious as normal. normally i do my best run times and distances when fasting or doing a low calorie intake but macros are the most important thing.
Um-hm. And how long have you been running and under-fueling? There are long term health implications to what you are doing. This is damaging to your muscle mass and your bones.9 -

If you've been tracking on your own, just how accurate were you? Your tracking on here isn't quite accurate.
As an experienced tracker, I see some questionable entries.
How did you get the calorie count for the curry? What exactly is "1 serving" of spaghetti?
Exactly..,,, although my Diary is private it’s easier to stick to the same foods then you know your accurate.....it brings it up, rarely do I have to type anything new

I'm consistent with eating 1000 cals a day for breakfast. Send a FR if you want to learn to eat on a healthy manner.13

VLCD sorry0

Very low calories diets. Under 1200 a day would fall into this category.0

I’m doing 1,000 a day (max. 1,200) but my diary isn’t that great. I get lazy with writing up what food I’ve eaten, though I do keep accurate track of calories. Don’t know if that helps any >.<
as long as you have a general idea of what your consuming you are fine. this holiday season where i been relaxing my fasting and consuming foods i'd normally avoid sense they are empty of nutrition i had got a little sloppy with marking in mine. lol5 -

over 9 months these last 4 or so months i'm doing close to 40 miles of solid runs a week. frankly i don't force myself to eat like most people like to and 1200 on a constant would only cause me to gain body fat back. i focus more on my macros than my calories given those are what are building and developing my body. sense cutting almost all sugars and artificial sweeteners and simple carbs i have been building muscle and maintaining weight even on my normal IF fasting schedule when i do my short fasts. never really have to worry about cravings unless my body wants a little extra here and there of fat or protein. my body gets to choose what macros it gets when it wants them. and sense fasting and eating lower than 1000 my monthlies no longer hurt like hell when they do start to show up.

You aren't building muscle on starvation calories.
There's nothing anabolic about fasting.
And you say you're maintaining weight on this poverty diet and running 40 miles a week?
Yeah, something's not adding up about your posts.16 -

My lifestyle is pretty sedentary at the moment, so I’m well aware that if I have a much more active day that my calorie count needs to increase, but as it stands 1k a day is not nearly as miserable as some would assume ^^’
Your experience of tracking for ... two days?
I will tell you as someone who has lost 95 pounds and gained some of it back and is in the process of losing it plus some more that weight loss is all about doing things in a smart and sustainable manner.
You are not doing that. Your diet is woefully lacking in protein, and I didn't see any vegetables. The "feels" pass after the rush of eagerness at the beginning of dieting fades and the long term reality of maintaining loss and the ongoing effort sets in.
You are not on a sustainable path.
Read the forum stickies and rethink what you're doing.
All of you.
Even those of you who think you're going to maintain on 1300 calories. Unless you're 70 years old, I'm not buying it. I'm short and old and those aren't even my maintenance calories for being sedentary.
I agree with all of this except the 1300 and 70 part. Many of us that are 5 foot and under have around that as our NEAT for maintenance. Just reading threads in the maintenance forum shows that. I consider myself one of the lucky ones that can eat more, rather than less, of what this site and online calculators give you.4 -
