Well, you better get on a treadmill and burn yourself some dinner fast...0
-
You better get that hiney to the gym!!!!0
-
Simple. Exercise.
More calories!!
ETA - how is your daily only 1200?? I was over 1500 calories with less weight.0 -
Eat light then go get yourself some exercise calories to make up for it!0
-
I would exercise it off!0
-
First off, go exercise for an hour.
Do some strength training and cardio, so you can eat your exercise calories later!
Then maybe have some grilled/roasted chicken and salad with a vinaigrette or some steamed veggies!0 -
There are healthy choice meals that taste pretty good and are no more then 300 calories usually. Tomorrow you can just shave off the extra you ate today and start fresh! =]0
-
get on the elliptical trainer for 30 - 60 minutes. You'll be under your goal again and have calories to spare for dinner.0
-
Go exercise and burn some calories so you can eat dinner and stuff.. Jumping jacks burns about 300 calories for 30 minutes.. type in exercises and see what burns what and do it!!0
-
veggies, loads and loads of veggies. spaghetti squash and marinara either without meat or with 2 or 3 oz of ground turkey.0
-
I would definitely say exercise and why is your calorie limit only 1200?0
-
Definitely exercise...but try having a salad and fruit or some oatmeal for dinner..something light with only a couple hundred cals0
-
Eat a salad for dinner with maybe a little bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper with a piece of chicken breast. You can also eat as many vegetables (squash, mushrooms, asparagus, tomatoes, etc) as you want to fill up. Don't panic and allow yourself a day to mess up. It's progress not perfection.0
-
Seems like you have only one option and that is do something to work off those calories you went over. Maybe you should munch on fruit for the rest of the day if you don't want to do yourself completely in!
Good Luck!0 -
Exercise!
Don't use it as an excuse to eat more, but it will help for today. And use today as a learning tool -- you admitted that you know your dowfalls. Find healthier options to get you through the day.
This is a journey - :-)0 -
As everyone is saying, go for a walk, then do a little exercise (cardio) so you can earn some calories. Or, have a light dinner (300-400 calories), then burn it off later today by walking, riding a bike, etc. Just earn some more calories. Crisis averted.0

Have salads, fruit, whole grain toast with applesauce... if you go over, no big deal. Stagger your calories over the course of the week, and when these days happen you won't feel so bad.
Keep up the good work! One day of going over won't hurt you at all.
You have made me want a subway0 -
I manage to avoid this by figuring out first thing in the morning what I'm going to eat all day and logging it. I always leave a few extra calories for those afternoon munchies.0
-
Oh come on hun!! you know that you were going to go to Subway...its a little routine!!!
so change your routine. make a plan!!! otherwise you are going to be exercising crazily each and everyday :-)
Why did you go to Subway...lets have a little more information....are you at work and it is where you go for lunch???
Share and then everyone can help more x0 -
reiterating ... exercise, exercise, exercise.
Make something nice and light the rest of the day. I know that I can burn a few hundred calories easily on the treadmill or ellipitcal so if you have them at home or a gym membership I would be running there (hey, running gives you more calories too!)
And... remember this feeling. It's crappy to see those blaring red numbers. When I went out to eat last week I preplanned my meal and almost faltered until I remember those dreaded red numbers!0 -
1200 seems like not enough.....but if you are that worried about the overage I would just go work out and wait to eat dinner until you figure out your burn.
Took at look at your profile, you are 26 with a child already so I would up you activity level to moderate and go from there. I bet that will put you are 1400-1500 with the deficit....good luck0 -
1 slice of bread with mustard, a piece of lunch turkey meat (like a topless sandwich) and a cup of spinich or other veggies and a big glass of water0
-
skinless boneless chicken breast some steamed veggies or a salad. dont add and high calories condiments to it or butter and it will be under 200 calories. Add 1/2 cup of instant brown rice and it still will be decent. you need to know that you must work it off. go for a power walk and you will burn off enough in 30 minutes to not go over.0
-
How about exercising?0
-
My calorie limit is also 1200. I have to plan ahead and put in what I am going to eat for meals then when I see the totals I plan the "junk" into the remaining. Go look at my dairy if you need some examples0

Thats just what I was thinking!0 -
Try planning ahead for the day. Ie. know your meals and don't deviate. It's ok to eat out, just plan it and know what you'll be eating when you go.0

I am a snacker too and what I have been doing, which really helped, is break my day down into segments: 8 to noon, noon to 4, 4 to 8, and 8 to midnight (i work mostly afternoons and nights so your segments might vary based on when you wake and sleep) If I have 1600 calories in a day, i make sure I stay under 400 in each segment. Snack on healthier things, like Wheat Thins instead of chips. Or chew gum instead of a candy bar.
This also really helps: force yourself to write down everything on this site before you order or eat it. Look at the numbers you are actually putting in your body. It may make you think twice before actually indulging. Hope this helps0 -

First step to success it finding out where we go wrong and learn from it! This is why keeping a food diary is good cos it shows u where u go wrong if u choose to use it right if you cheat or brush it under the carpet ... Your cheating only yourself! So..…
Plan of action... Think, why you addicted to junk food? ( might be handy to write down why) is it emotional ? Is it the time factor? Is it cos it tastes good?
Once you suss out WHY, you can come up with a plan HOW to stop yourself sabotaging yourself. Ie, if it's the time issue and ur grabbing something quickly, do a pack up lunch to bring with you to work. Do you see where Im coming from?
As for today.... U could go for a walk, jog, do some exercise to help out that cal burn and/ or have a light tea and gave an early night. Tomorrow is another day, if you WANT to succeed YOU will xx0 -
Okay so I obviously didn't add enough info sorry!!! I live in a town of 1200 people and subway is our only option and my brother in-law brought lunch out. Next question is 1200 calories a decent amount to eat. I've been doing weight watchers plus and I figured how many calories we eat during a day and it come out to between 1800 and 1900cal. Is that to much of a drastic drop?0
