Hi, I just started recording calories to lose weight and also joined Title Boxing Club in my area.
Does anyone have any idea what to record for exercise/calories if I do the “power hour” boxing class? I know it will vary for body type etc, but ballpark ideas are welcome!!
Thank u!

I wear a FitBit to Title classes and burn about 550 calories. However a lot will depend on your cardio fitness level!0

Thank u.. I didn’t realize fitbits did that. I’ll check it out.0

They don't. While they'll give you a number, the relationship with reality is very tenuous.1 -
I also wear a Fitbit to boxing class. I am a 62 y/o female - 5'4", 142 lbs. I burn between 485-525 for an hour class consisting of 30 minutes of vigorous calisthenics and 30 minutes of bag work or sparring. I know it's not an exact science, but I hope this helps.1

Thank u, it totally does. I just assume 400. It seems like the lowest number from what I have read. And if i Use the minimum I know I won’t over credit myself with calories burned. Given my weight (which is way over 142) and the effort I put into it, it has to be more than the 400. But I will use that to be safe. Just wondering, it’s cardio, right? Or is it cardio and strength? Thank u again!0 -

I log it all into MFP as "cardio" - but I know there is strength involved also. Hitting the bag hard takes strength. Push-ups and variations of ab work takes strength. But I don't know how to log it and I don't want to start splitting hairs... LOL. You're welcome and good luck!!1
