I guess this goes here... I was looking for posts about natural hair and all of them seemed to be really old (2011 and such) I was wondering does anyone want to start a group? Or have tips about natural hair. How long have you been on your journey?

You covered all the questions I was asking myself :D

    Did she leave off some?

    Eye brows, or unibrow?

    Ear hair?

Nostril hair? It can be a cause for sneezing, but also does a bit of filtering of particles..

    Eyelashes?

Hairy feet? Is one a Hobbit?

    Hairy pams?

If you have red hair, you can just post a pic here for reference.

Pam was not hairy, Pam was smoother than the smoothest thing.

I was speaking in abbreviated Bahstonian...

    "Hairy Palms"

Not to be confused with "Hairy Pams" (she might not like it if you point out she's as such), or "Harry Psalms"...

I used to have red hair.

It was fake - but most redheads are.

I prefer natural, but I am not opposed to fake. it still works.

I'll join. Ive been natural for about 4 years. Im mid back length almost to waist length. What helps my hair grow is keeping it moisturized and wearing either protective or low maintaince styles.

I found a picture of myself from about 10 years ago with red hair (fake).

I used to get pissed off at being called a "fiery" redhead *kitten* YOU!!

    Or pairy hams

What if we decide to trim the body fur? Do we use sheep sheers, a set of industrial strength clippers or a full body razor? How will we reach behind and do our back?

    You've really thought about this...
Maybe we could use a hedge cutter or smother ourselves in wax and let people rip off the strips for us?

Hmmm... I'm thinking moneymaking scheme here. Charge a certain amount per strip. Variable pricing depending upon where it is?

Yes that’s what I meant, but also I was trying to find people on MFP who have natural hair and how do they balance that with exercise because sweat, water and moisture changes the texture of our hair and washing every day isn’t good for it.

I'm glad the topic has finally been established. I've been wondering for ages what exactly this thread was about and had been lurking in the corners for fear it might have been any number of things aside from head hair. :D

I'm white but my hair is naturally curly and I generally wear it that way. I'm sure our hair texture is different but when I work out I always put my hair up into a bun. I only wash my hair about twice a week so I use dry shampoo in between.[/quote]

I’ve never tried dry shampoo. Does the bun help. I hate sweaty scalps
