Swimming Pool Mouth

I went for my long swim last night (75 mins) and did get a few mouthfuls of water during that time - the lane discipline was terrible and so people were overtaking, cutting up, splashing etc.
So today, the idea of drinking plain water makes me feel a bit queasy and I can taste swimming pool in my mouth. Brushed teeth, eaten, no effect. Any top tips for getting rid of the horrible watery taste??!!

Have you tried flavored water or even just fruit infused water as an alternative?

you are probably a) slightly dehydrated because swimming (even though you are in water) can dehydrate you and b) maybe a bit affected by the chlorine

honestly, in my experience - as much as you don't want to - just drinking water will help - i know you don't want to - i find that the flavored waters etc don't help the icky taste in my mouth

    Assuming it's morning, coffee.

Assuming it's after work, than the last couple of suggestions would work.

^^ yup, coffee. Really strong tasting hot tea might do the trick. Garlicy soup... Hot drink of strong taste seems to do the trick for me.

just googled . . . . chlorinated water is mildly acidic (sez google). so you could try a baking soda mouthwash and get back to us.

don't blame me if toxic gas of some kind is the result. i'm not being flippant about your discomfort btw. just overthinking a bit.
