MFP app questions

in Getting Started
So Im using the app more for chatting and ppl. It's going good.... But Im finding there is no good way to "tag" or reply to ppl?? So do ppl just write on other ppl wall? Then you just back and forth on your walls? Or am I missing something? Btw I only use app. :(

    Placing an @ before a person's name "tags" them. It appears like this @heiney5 .

    Also you can use the "quote" feature as to reference a person specifically and what they said that you're responding to.

    Tap "quote" and get this:

    communicating between friends is rather obnoxious.. i used to just write back on their walls rather then post in comments under the first wall post.. MFP isn't really up to date with notifications and communication like facebook is.

    @kpk54 thx! That works nice on the "boards." But recently I'm spending more time on my wall and just logging.

    @HellYeahItsKriss that's what I'm learning... :(.... But I'm not sure how to write something on ppl wall? Do you basically just go to there profile and write in comment? I always wander if this is directly to them or if it goes back to my wall or if it's public, etc.... So confusing... Ugg...

    Pretty much.. But not everyone will go to yours and comment back, which i found annoying cause MFP does not notify you when someone replied under your wall post, so you either forget you posted and never go back or you have to keep going back over and over and over to go look

    @heiney5 , if you post to their wall, it's there for anyone that they allow to see their wall to see (profiles can be help private shown to nobody, made public, or exposed only to friends...

    If you're looking for private messages -- use messaging (should be in the app, in the Android version of the app "Messages" is nearly at the bottom of the menu. Depending upon how you have your Settings configured you can receive Emails and/or Push Notifications on your phone when someone sends you a message (or posts on your wall, or likes something that you've posted on a wall, etc...)

    • For Push Notifications look at: Settings | Push Notifications
