I started getting depressed when I realized how much I failed to take care of myself. Everything is now becoming blurry and it all started with this one reason. I don't look at myself now as if I'm pretty or what. All I can see is a disappointment and a failure. Now I'm trying to bring back my life. I want to be proud of myself again. Please help me by offering your friendship. I would also be glad hearing your stories.

Are you using depressed as a mood or depressed as a disorder? They are totally different things. If you're depressed, then that could be the reason for your weight gain, not a side effect. Depression is from a chemical imbalance in the brain and only mental health professionals are qualified to help with that. But if you just mean you feel "depressed" as a mood then you're in luck.
