With this and all other apps and sites, I use what I can and leave the rest. None of them owes users anything.

MFP, aren't miracle workers. They give us the tools to do the work if we haven't the gumption to use them or are to lazy to get on and do it, why blame them!

There's too much difference or lacking features between the app and the website, the add yesterday's breakfast for instance isn't on the website only on the app.

The app is pretty good, it's the website that needs more quick helpful features.

They need to behave similarly and consistently.

no I htink you are mistaken with that...

I just checked on the website and you can copy from yesterday...I prefer the website to be honest.

So much for moderators supposedly never showing up on the boards. They just closed the thread from that fool eating 500-900 calories a day.

I've also been on MFP since 2012. Two concrete improvements I know of are the verified entries for foods (with the check mark) and being able to import recipes from websites really easily. I'm pretty sure the verified entries happened after UA bought the site.

I think the asterisked items (which were USDA entries) were much better than the green checks - so many of them are plain wrong, but the green mark makes people think they can trust them.

Except verified entries can be wildly erroneous

Yep! on the website, I copy my meals from a prior day to the present day almost every day. Sure makes it easier than selecting all the foods again. It even lets me copy my lunch meal of a prior day to my dinner meal (or any meal) of the present day if I switch things around a little--that's also convenient.

however I did notice that the website is "not secure" per my web bar...

so in other words don't enter passwords etc...

The only problem I have with the recipe builder is when using web version, I wish I could search my 22 pages of recipes in alpha order.

I don't know if this is still an issue but if it is, I copied the links to all my MFP recipes (50+ pages!!) and put them into google sheets. That way I can easily search and order them and (this is the best bit) because I copied the link, clicking it in google sheets takes me straight to the recipe in MFP where I can log it in my diary.

So yes, took a little time to do the initial copying, but incredibly worth it since.
