I went to my hubbys Xmas party a few days ago and haven't seen most if his co-workers in a long time. So many of them looked shocked and complimented me on my weight loss. It was super flattering! quite a few people told me I could do better than my husband so it made me wonder if he was being shady at work but I think they were just being nice Lol. I also wore a pair of size 6 jeans there and they were a little too big!! (Vanity sizing though but it felt nice!)17

Swim circuits instructor tried to kill me this morning! In previous weeks he made me push a brick, then week after 2 bricks for a length to try and stop me. No joy! still did the length.
So this morning he handed me a float belt!! AND I STILL DID THE LENGTH!! and got compared to a shark!! haha
he said to the other guy, 'It's like when you harpoon a shark and the float slows them'.
It was very difficult to get the pulls right with the float and the brick, but feel so chuffed!!
also saw a mate I haven't see in a while and he said I was looking really good! so yay!!
Love this post. Really great!
Note to self - get BACK IN THE POOL!!!

No longer making excuses for toxic people, period. Accepting people for who they are and what they stand for (or don't stand for, as the case maybe) does NOT mean I have to "go along to get along" anymore, period. I can be merciful, loving, kind, gentle, patient WITHOUT giving them my "energy" (for a lack of a better word). Acceptance is such a POWERFUL "place" to live. I don't (and actually refuse) to be offended, hurt or even amazed with "messy" folk another day for the rest of my life. Just do like the old folk use to do and say when dealing with someone who is a toxic type--they used to say (with a genuine smile and a powerful I mean business attitude)..."God bless their/your soul" (either to them or to myself, depending on the situation) and in either case quickly DISENGAGE, MOVE ON, DON'T LOOK BACK, keep it moving onto the better/healthier thoughts and things, period. What is truly amazing is when I don't give myself over to anyone's mess and at the same time let them know "I see you"...how it's like an invisible "shield & sword" comes up, where THEY get it and leave you alone. I walk away feeling "clean, stronger and sure footed" instead of yucky, depleted and somehow violated.
Big ole NSV that I'm thrilled to report now and sure wish I would have learned to live/think/be/do this way years and years earlier...but as they say "better late than never" BOOM!18 -
Reached into my closet for a jacket, ANY jacket, in a mad dash to work this morning. Lo and behold, an Old Navy one FIT! It didn't even fit when I bought it in college, I just needed something and it was the biggest size they had. I just wore it unbuttoned and tired to not move my arms.
Too bad it's musty and covered in cat hair....16 -
Went to Sephora to buy some makeup to contour my face. Looked in the mirror and realized my face is becoming more angular and I don't need it so much.17

Bought new jeans today. Picked up 4p brought them home without trying them on first. Great fit with no muffin top!
Last December I bought new size 12 and they were tight because I refused to get a 14.19 -
Just realized this is W2 of C25K. Can't wait to achieve my goals!13

Went on a 2 mile hike today with a 25 pound pack and didn't feel winded once.26

I've only lost 12 lbs out of 70 lbs, but I can already see space again between my arms and waist, when I stand with my arms hanging down.28

I ran today, despite being stressed out and slightly sick. Also, non health related, but one of my students emailed me and said that I made accounting fun to learn. That's not something you hear every day.34

no circuits in the pool this morning instructor didn't show
BUT
in gym I deadlifted 50kg no real goal for that but 50 is cool!

Me too! Today was w2d2, smashed it! Hope you're going well with yours.6 -
Somewhere in the last 15 seconds of my final jogging interval of c25k I hit 13.1km/h!!! My goal was to hit 12km/h. Smashed it! Was really good to hit it because I waa kinda sluggish on my first couple of jog intervals.
Hit 9km/h for 1 and a half minutes yesterday at bootcamp. When the instructor yelled 30 seconds to go I cranked it up to 9.5. He was watching as I did it and commented on how proud that made him #Winning.
Had time to ride Shakaya after my walk this morning so instead of sitting around home I went out to the paddock and rode into the showgrounds (paddock is only a kilometer out of town) and done a quick 30 minute training session on the drums. Plan to work Gina this afternoon.12 -
My NSV is getting to wear my new winter jacket which I love, in a size SMALL. I have not been a size small coat for a very long time. That jacket I was wearing in my before picture from last winter is now too big on me so it was time for an upgrade.49 -
I have two: NSV #1).I recently went to an event to see old friends who haven't seen me since I started my weight loss journey back in March. I was shocked when someone said I looked 20 years younger. Of course, I didn't believe him. As the evening went on, not 1, not 2 but 3 people said the same thing. Those comments made me feel great. As of this week I've lost 52.5 lbs.
NSV# 2.) I had to finally break down and buy a new winter coat since my old one was a size 2X. My new one is now a size 12. I don't ever remember having a coat that small. Woo Hoo.31 -
Went and bought 2 new suits and went from a size 50 jacket down to a 46!20
-
Pulled a bin of old clothes from the attic, all size 8s or small. Everything I've tried on thus far either fits or is slightly too big.19

Food doesn't have that control over me like it used to. Being hungry is no longer an emergency. So, my tummy growls...I don't feel light headed, I'll survive.21

My body is clearly telling me I’ve been overdoing it—pinched nerves in my neck and back, bursitis in my hip, all of which are super painful. So the nsv is I am looking up from a few days of chocolate and self pity and am back at the gym and logging, but taking a week or two to go slow—just walking and yoga. Might be a good wake up call to balance things a little better and not feel the “need” to workout so often/hard. Alas, my 36 yo body isn’t bouncing back as easily as it did when I was 20 and working out hard.18

bundled up to run some errands in this 15 degree weather... and realized that it's a lot easier to layer when all your clothes are way too big for you19

Congrats! It's such a great feeling, isn't it?4
