Hello all,
Not sure what to post of what the etiquette are, but hoping to stick to MyFitness this time. I used it for about two months to track everything about a year ago, but lost interest. I am now back.

At 6.2 and 218 pound, I am planning on going back down to 180-190 pound range. I'm a climber who has let work interfere with life. My fitness has paid the price. Of course, I also have horrible eating habits.

Since fitness, climbing and eating go hand in hand, my motivation is slowing down. I am now going to cut down significantly on carbs, not gone all together, but slow them down for sure.

Hope all goes well. I need to climb a couple 5.13 by the time I reach 50. A couple other rock climbing goals, but I also have a family I love and need to divide my time equally.

Cheers,
Eman

    Hey, Eman,

I'm in a ((very)) similar boat. I'm aslo 6'2" 215lbs, recently started climbing again indoors, ALSO have horrible eating habits, and ALSO trying to get down to 190-ish lbs.
I just got the My Fitness Pal app today, so we'll see how it works for us!
I haven't logged any climbing as exercise yet, but I imagine we need to keep track of active time on the wall, as belaying and resting aren't burning too many calories. Inputting a time for rock climbing (ascending) returns a high amount of calories burned - so the 2 hours at the gym is actually more like 45 mins of climbing.

    Good luck to us!
