Have you put your stats in to MFP to get a recommended calorie intake for you goals?

So go with that. Remember that that doesnt include exercise. You need to add exercise calories on top of that.

Eating sufficient protein and resistance training will help you maintain muscle. More cardio based exercise is good for fitness and burning calories.... Whatever you choose, remember exercise is more for health, and should be something you enjoy. Don't make it a chore!

ETA. At the beginning of Sept you made a thread saying you'd been given a goal of 1350. You got advice to eat back your exercise cals then too.... Did you stick to that goal and advice? What progress have you made?

Very slow progress just changes in my shape rather than numbers on the scales. Christmas is very close and getting into the spirit a little too much.

is that to lose 1lb per day?

Do whichever exercise you enjoy, and do some resistance work to retain muscle.

    I'm 5ft 2, I maintain 125-128lbs on 1950-2000 calories, to lose 0.5lb a week I'd eat 250 cals a day less. For 1lb, 500 cals less. I'm lightly active.

When you don't have much to lose 0.5lb-0.75lb per week is a healthier loss.

    All the best.
