But I mean in working out. Food is no problem but finding the time to go running or anything0
-
I used to get up early and/or workout out late, while my kids were sleeping. I also workouted out (and still do) on my lunch break at work.
Do you work, or are you a SAHM?
How old are your kid(s)?
What types of workouts are you hoping to do? Are you open to other options/ideas?1 -
Honestly you're gonna have to constantly adapt to whatever your situation is, it might be different every day but you have to carve out the time you need to workout. It won't happen unless you make it a priority.
I typically workout either late in the evenings at my apartment gym because there's usually no one there at 6pm or working out early in the morning in my apartment using body weight videos on YouTube.
My son will typically just walk on the treadmill or play with my phone in the gym, and when I'm at home he's playing with toys. Either way I get my workout in and he's safe with me while I'm doing it.
Sometimes I'll even take him with me if I go running outside because he loves run, he has fun and I get to exercise.
I don't know how old your kids are but maybe getting them involved in your workouts will make things easier, you can even take them on long walks if they can't keep up with you running.
Sorry for the long response.
Edit: I can't type today.1 -

Really enjoyed this thank you. My daughter just turned two, I used to buckle her In the stroller and go running but it's gotten to cold out. I really want to do more than working out in doors. I love running but I just don't know how to get around my schedule1 -

Yeah dealing with the elements with a kid is hard, right now it's been raining a lot so me and my son haven't been able to go on any walks. Perhaps just stick with indoors until it warms up? I know it stinks when all you want is to be outdoors but something is better than nothing.1 -
I go in the am early bird I go at 4am!1

rotate with my spouse. when she gets home, I book it to the gym. we just alternate.1

Since your little one is still quite little, go jogging with her in her stroller. She'll enjoy the fresh air and you'll get to exercise. You and she will both be nice and tired soonafter and quite possibly enjoy a soothing nap together.1

My kids are older now (11&13). Because I had family around I used to be able to run out to the gym at night. Not sure how I did it, looking back. Now it’s harder because they have sports. Sep - March I am just not going to worry about it. Ideally I’d work out while my son swims, but I end up sending him with my mom because my other son has hockey before swim is over.
I’m not going to tear myself apart. I’ll fit in what I can. Walks with the dog. Workouts on the weekend. Quick work outs here and there. Come March I’ll make it more of a priority again. Focusing on food right now.1 -
Any of us who are or were parents get it. Hope you find good and safe options away from the home...be it at a gym with childcare or a good park. I hear ya on finding good options outside of the home, but there are always good options by a DVD or YouTube bodyweight exercise video you could try from home, or maybe even better options if you have some of your own equipment. Either way, I hope you find options both you enjoy doing, but also ones your daughter doesn't mind tagging along on because your time together is important, even moreso when you may be limited on options otherwise you can trust. All the best!1

You tube and DVDs are my go to's for now but I'm sure I'll figure out how to go on my runs on my busy days(: thank you for the advice (:2 -
I am not a single parent but feel it pretty often. My hubby & i work different shifts and i am more times then not alone with our son. When he was 2 and too cold to take him out, we did toddler yoga and/or toddler zumba together. Squish the fish toddler yoga was his favorite. I have some pretty cute pics of him actually doing it. I also bought a Garmin step tracker & aimed for 4 miles a day. Literally we would ‘get our steps’/mileage in the house. If i wasnt at 4 miles by a certain time we would ‘race’ each other, play tag, etc in the house to get to my goal. Sure, its trying, kind of annoying but its movement and healthier then sitting on the couch. He enjoyed it, which made things easier too because we werent going stir crazy in the house all night.0
