They should have more consideration next time and bring some muffins. Muffins > donuts!12

Next time, they do something like that just tell them they look lovely, then sit down and enjoy a bowl of fresh berries you brought for yourself. And have a bite of the donut and go for a walk. Take any family members willing to go with you and use that time to catch up with them.16

Haha, I dropped a ham off at Mom N Dads and they offered me cookies. It wasn't even for the family get together.
It's going to be a tough week!!!2 -

It's a sorry situation if one bite of a doughnut makes you need to go for a walk...19 -
So? Just put them into your caloric intake o.o
That doesn't mean they hate you lol.1 -

I used to live in an area that from my front porch I could see Dairy Queen, from the back porch Krispy Kreme. Should you be surprised that I gained weight during that time. There is nothing like a Krispy Kreme doughnut that is fresh and warm. They literally melt in your mouth5

I dunno i read it more as someone like me who once i get a taste the entire box would be inhaled. In which case yes it may be sad but its empowering and beneficial to then go take a walk to walk away from the food until control returns9 -
The problem is, “can’t stop at just one”. Objectively one is as good as another and one doughnut will not a diet break.
So what to do? Take your time picking your one. Post a pic of the box of deliciousness in all its glory and post it to all your hated MFP acquaintances. Then take a walk around your neighbourhood and share all but that one.
Spread your Christmas cheer.5 -
Oooh! I think I see a Boston Creme in there!1

yum I wish some one would give me that. but the closest place is an hour away2

I swear my own family are trying to sabatage me. They buy me my favourite food ==> chocolate... for my birthday and Christmas. Chocolate doesn’t last past the day with me, no matter how much amount of chocolate there is.2

I totally agree on both points.0 -
Probably a good thing you're not a fly on my Christmas wall and it's all my own doing as I don't have family!5

Take a relatively controlled diet break during the Holidays? I mean, one week of over-eating isn't going to undo everything you've done prior in the year or stop you from taking care of yourself after the new year.3

Send them to me then. I'll eat them! Heck, I just baked a cherry pie and an apple pie for today and tomorrow and I better believe I am going to eat some of it.3

Yesssss....cake donuts are where it's at. You can keep the poofy air-filled ones.3 -
Doughnuts have no power over me. Now, if that had been a cheese platter... faceplant!7

Went to visit family and they sent us home with Uncle Cotton's almost famous rum cake! Haven't cut into it yet. I've got flu and p'monia now and can't taste much. The cake is safe from me. For now. And so are the chocolate covered gingerbread cookies my friend gave me. And the chocolate covered coffee beans my other friend gave me....Gee, I think my friends and family must hate me, too.3
