My family hates me

They don't hate you! The donuts are festively decorated, and I am sure they are delicious. Have a donut if you would like one, and enjoy it, savor it even. Log the calories. Say "Thank you", and enjoy the rest of your time with your family. Merry Christmas! We can't really expect family and friends not to serve festive, delicious, calore-laden foods just because we are counting calories.10

Growing up, my mother would always buy us candy/cakes/ice cream... then the next day would say, you need to lose weight..... I work retail, yesterday, we had 3 different customers bring in full boxes of donuts from Dunkin Donuts, I did great till my boss opened the box in front of me and I SMELLED the donuts... I broke down and ate one, but only one...4

It's a sorry situation if one bite of a doughnut makes you need to go for a walk...
Ouch ... I was just trying to point out you can actually have social interaction with family that does not have to center around food. Walking and talking is a great way to interact with people. It does not always have to be sitting aound a table surrounded by food.5 -

I mean, one week of over-eating isn't going to undo everything you've done prior in the year o
Yes- it could.. Discipline and moderation are the key during the holidays... only speaking from experience!13 -

Three years and I've indulged every Christmas. And birthday. And holiday. Still 63lbs down. Still losing. I like my way and it is key to my sanity during the holidays. Different strokes. I like my way. Because festive food.9 -
I’d take (non Splenda) apples over Krispy Kreme’s. Like it would have to be real sugar. Maybe with some cinnamony filling in a crust. With vanilla ice cream.3

I come to visit my family and this is what they buy lol
Did they only buy the doughnuts you hate? Do they never buy doughnuts and bought them just to bother you? Are they poisoned?
Likely your family is just doing what they usually do and you are ascribing feelings and motives to a purchase that do not exist.
If I hated someone I would not give them tasty doughnuts. I would not visit them or invite them to my home.5 -
Errr my family beings in Doughnuts all of the time, so I can relate. Tim hortons is my weakness. I can relate!!2

Yum! Now I know what I'm having for my Christmas treat! Cinnamon and brown sugar and butter apples! Beats the heck out of greasy cardboard donuts any day!6 -

I like baked apples - haven't tried them with splenda though.
But my reaction to somebody offering me a yummy treat I liked, like donuts,on Xmas day, would not be to make myself some baked apples.
( and presumably OP does like them, not consider them greasy cardboard, or whole thing is non-issue)

Of course that what has happened. Saying they hate me isint literal only a snooty feeling I’m vocalizing because I am restricting myself from these things for awhile. I was diagnosed pre-diabetic. So I do have to lay off these things until my sugar is at least normal again. That’s why I put lol at the end of it. I know my family loves me. When I gained all my weight back they were concerned.
