How Chritmas day went

I probably ate more on a regular weekend. Oh well. However I was busy so didn't get my workouts in. It was nice to give the bod a rest.0

Christmas went really well. The day was mainly one of snacking and Christmas dinner being the only true meal of the day. I'm guessing I'm probably 2000 calories over maintenance, which isn't bad at all for a day like Christmas.
Best of all, I've managed to give away many of the extra treats we had around, so the post Christmas snacking should not be all that bad this year.2 -
I logged everything and went 1000 calories over my goal (2300 vs 1300) it was worth every calorie too back on track today!1

Been fairly good today but the left over food and snacks hanging around have not helped.
Roll on getting back to normal as im way out of sync1 -
I was told by our host there would be salad at dinner; no salad appeared. I chose glazed carrots as my veg. Big mistake: system no longer tolerates additional sugar! But I did bring my own food Christmas Eve and so this holiday was still at deficit.1

I ate very cautiously. Long story short: I started having "wicked bad heartburn" on Thursday that hasn't let up, and I might have an ulcer.
I still sampled a bite or two of everything. I also tried Pannetone for the first time. I was so surprised! It looks like something the stores put out just to make sure that base is covered, but nobody actually buys. I will probably buy them every year.1 -
Food coma...pretty much says it all
But..I had an awesome day, I laughed, enjoyed my family time and just chilled with no worries.

I didn't log and had no regrets. I didn't lose all control and go nuts, but I'd still have no regrets if I had. I'm up 3 pounds today which is right on target for a sodium filled day for me. I have no doubt the scale will be back to normal in a few days. That corned beef brisket was worth it! Mmmm!2

Smooth sailing . A Christmas casserole for lunch (with leftovers frozen for NYDay), a piece of Italian panettone and coffee at mid afternoon, and a BBQ with salad for dinner. I made two frozen yogurt & cool-whip pies for desert; one was gone on 12/24 (8 people), and we ate 1/2 for the other on 12/25. The rest is in the freezer.
However, and since I had family for 10 days and we took trips that involved eating out and I didn't work out since 12/14, I also decided to wait until tomorrow or later in the week to check the scale. On 12/22 I was still within my normal range. I didn't log anything or only breakfast for ten days.0 -

So the scales are out of bounds
Personally, I want to know just how good or bad things are!

I'm not a holiday food person at all. And, I'm usually so busy trying to catch up with family that I don't eat much.
breakfast- quest bar, apple
5 mile run in the snow!!
1 beer
about 4 oz prime rib
1 baby roast potato
about 2 tbsp cranberry sauce
5 green beans
1 bite of cherry pie
And that was it for the day.2 -
I love pannetone! Will have to get one this week.0

I gained 5 lbs in 2 days and couldn't care less. People who are afraid of the scale don't understand the concept of water weight which is why they avoid looking at it. But in the grand scheme of things, it's only a small blip in the radar if you go back to your regular diet. You can't get skinny overnight...well the samething applies when it comes to getting fat.
yes i understand, i just think that after so much decrease in my weight i just didnt want to see a dramatic upturn.
gonna weigh in later this morning1 -
Christmas Eve I did well, didn't go over my calorie goal. Really planned and was thoughtful about my food. I decided not to bother logging on Christmas day, but I would guess I took in about 2000-2500 calories. A far stretch from my 1200 calories per day, but really not terrible. I did feel awful today, after having more sodium than I normally do, but the scale didn't budge so I'm calling it a win! Gotta get rid of these leftover though. I kept a bunch for the kids to munch on but I'm sitting here with cheese, crackers and wine-destroying my goal for today. Confirms that I don't have the willpower just yet! Overall, I think it went much better than I thought it would!0

My day went actually really well. I knew I didn’t want to cut back for dinner since that’s the biggest part of the day for my family. I tracked all of my food and actually added some recipes. It was tough for the last couple of hours of my day but oddly enough it was my second lowest calorie intake of the week.1

I didn't log. 3 days of turkey dinners and desserts and I woke up this morning 0.2lbs lighter than 3 days ago. Not even any water weight, I was amazed. It's now that I'm worried about. I'm currently snacking on a bag of pretzels because I'm still hungover. Meh, I'll be back at it tomorrow.0

Day went ok, logged almost everything, couldn't weigh so had to guesstimate, but I think I'm not exceeding maintenance, so good enough0

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, than my daughters birthday the next day.
I am so over food.
Tonight I had steamed vegetables for dinner,

We had Chinese food for dinner Christmas Eve, while I didn't go crazy, I know the sodium is a killer! Christmas morning we made a nice breakfast, no lunch and then for dinner my family just does a pot luck of appetizers/finger foods. We were hosting this year so I was very busy all day prepping and playing host. I never actually made a plate of food, just picked at things throughout the day. I didn't log anything after breakfast, and I decided a while back to take a break from the scale, so I'm not sure what the damage is.. I'll weigh in next week after my body has had some time to get back to normal. It was all worth it though0
