Meal prep containers

Any recommendations per meal prep containers???

    I keep a variety of containers when I'm doing meals that I get multiple eatings out of. I have ones that are divided into two or three compartments for ones that have sides that might not mix well. Small ones for snacks or fruit for my waters or dressings, and single compatment ones for things like casseroles or salads. I make sure they are fun and colorful so I look forward to using them and eating the meal inside.

    I use the Rubbermaid 4 cup rectangular containers and the ziplock 2 cup rounds most of the time. I think the glassware containers are nice for storing things in the fridge, but I find them to be really heavy for taking a meal on the go. I also have some of the circular Glad snap top containers for large salads.

    One and two cup tempered glass bowls with snap on plastic lids are my basics (as a single person), plus a few larger bowl/rectangle ones. They can be frozen, refrigerated, microwaved (I take off the plastic & put a plate on top), baked (ditto). They're sturdy, reusable, snuggle nicely in my insulated lunch bag, and more.

    Yes, they're a little heavier than plastic but last longer and are far more versatile. Besides, I probably burn 2 more extra calories a month carrying that extra weight around. ;)

    Great info! I'm leaning towards glass too. As I work from home, so won't really have a need to transport them around. Heavier is ok with me. Thank you!
