Whether fitness or diet related or not.
My goal is to read at least 15 books and eat a salad a day.

A salad a day for 365 days?.. life's too short for that many salads. Besides.. a decent salad can be pretty calorie dense. I've had 600 calorie salads before. I would rather have a burger lol8

I love pasta, but I should eat less carbs lol3
-
To focus on a keto diet and exercise program3

Carbs aren't bad.. eat what you enjoy.6

Thank you for starting this positive thread! Happy new year to everyone. My goals are to:
1. Eat a nourishing variety of foods daily.
2. Be active at least 30 minutes each day.
3. Try something new every week (in any area of life).10 -
1.) Living each and everyday as if it's my last day on this earth. Being more focused on building my "spiritual" muscle than my physical ones.
2.) drinking water more instead of caloried drinks...NOT inordinately consuming my calories on liquids.
3.) Walking in love, mercy/forgiveness, joy, self-control, patience, peace, kindness, gentleness, meekness no matter what.
4.) Lifting heavy on the regular
5.) Representing Jesus and The Kingdom of God in everything I think, say or do--when people compliment me on whatever, to give The Lord ALL The Glory, instead of being "ashamed" of the gospel or being lifted up in "pride" and taking all the "credit" for/unto myself.
6.) To "count my blessings" and be thankful and grateful in ALL things, not merely the so-called "good", but the bad and the ugly too.

Continue with CO/CI and walking until I reach 125-130lb hopefully by June 2018. My new goal is to work on toning my abs using only Youtube fitness videos. I'm not sure yet of my schedule. I'll start with every other day and see how it goes. Also, I plan to travel and visit new places abroad, visit some national parks across the U.S. and take some beach road-trips.6

I'm going to try and walk/hike 2018 miles. I mean purposeful miles, ones I do on the track, treadmill or hiking and log as exercise. My everyday walking won't count.11

Other than than those two I plan to run 750km this year and have 2 races but also to have at least 9 dinners with friends. Last month I started a new job and I plan this year to get fully on track and have a lot of fun in it.7 -
Just to eat healthier. Not a diet or anything, just eating better. Also read more.5

I want to learn to balance life and fitness - right now I'm eating well and I'm getting regular exercise, which is a big change from before, but it's taking so much of my time and mental energy that I feel like I don't do anything but cook, eat, sleep, and work out. I think, observing myself, that it's not so much that these things take time as that I have to think about them when I'm not doing them. I spend a lot of time planning and getting ready and psyching myself up, in addition to doing. So what I need to do is make these new food and fitness behaviors habits, so I don't have to think about them as much. And work to set them out of my mind when I should be focusing on other things.7

I’m going to drink more water....
I want to make more of an effort to keep my busy house cleaner and tidier!
Try to exercise everyday (even if just a short 20minute fitness blender blast!)3 -
That’s a great New Years resolution!2
-
Get to 150 pounds. Entirely do-able.7

For all you fabulous people!!!

1. Wake up earlier to get the most out of my day. I like being up in the early morning. Actually GETTING up early in the morning is quite hard though. I'm aiming to wake up 15 minutes earlier each month until May/June
2. Develop my yoga skills. I started yoga about a month ago. I'm not very flexible and not very strong, but I'm going to commit to doing short yoga routines every day/ other day, gradually increasing the difficulty as I improve. It's also really good for back pain and seems to help me sleep better
3. Be more aware of how stressed and anxious I can get over the tiniest things. As a rule if something is more than a week away then I'm not going to stress over it.
4. Cook more. I used to cook a lot but as Winter set in and my uni deadlines approached I found myself eating more ready meals out of convenience and laziness. I'd like to try new recipes and use more fresh ingredients
5. Forget my weight! Instead, I took my measurements this morning and intend to use them as a measure of progress instead (I also don't want to know how much I weigh after Christmas as I certainly won't be able to say 'it's muscle gain!'...it's fat and water gain). This year I want to focus on fitness, strength and toning rather than weight loss.4 -
My New Years resolutions for the past few years have always been to lose weight. Last year I almost accomplished it and was less than 10lbs to goal! Then I moved to Rome to work, and put on almost 30lbs.
My New Years resolution isn’t to lose weight this year, ecause my New Years resolutions never work out. My reaolutions are:
1) Get back into my healthy eating habits again by sticking to calorie goals.
2) Get back into running.
3) Be more confident.

Smile more!!
Keep a glass of water by my bedside and drink it when I wake up each morning (I want to generally increase my water intake and this is my starting point).
I want to see if I can reduce, or even stop, my antidepressants. I've been on them for three years whilst studying for a PhD. My thesis has to be submitted in a few months time and I'm hoping to be in a good place to try life without antidepressants.5 -
Have no resolutions, I will keep doing what I was doing for past 2 months where I lost 30lbs. Happy New Year with a lot of lost Weight ahead.3
-
My new health plan includes a gym membership. I want to slowly start a weight training regime. I have lost 50 pounds with no exercise so I'm hoping to put the weight loss into overdrive by adding exercise.3
-
I’m aiming to try a new recipe at least once a week. For me this should mean trying out new food since I’m especially bad at that. I’m hoping this will make me dare trying out other new things.5
-
Lay off the alcohol, and push myself to move more, the diet side thankfully has been ok so far.
Oh and be more patient on the weightloss!4 -
I did very well with my 2017 resolutions which were to lose weight through exercise and healthy eating, meditate, and take time for family and myself. This year I want to continue with this lifestyle but I would like to train to walk a great hike somewhere like the Grand Canyon. When my youngest daughter goes to college in 4 years I would like to do the Camino de Santiago but until then I need shorter walks/hikes to plan and not lose my momentum. So my goals are:
1. strength train twice a week
2. yoga twice a week and become more flexible
3. walk for an hour 3 times a week and hike once a week carrying a backpack for 3 hours or more
4. plan a hiking trip to Grand Canyon this fall
5. consider a hiking trip for 2019
6. lose 11 pounds
7. say no to volunteer positions more often and only say yes to things I really want to do
Happy New Year's!2 -
I want to become a better version of myself in 2018. Both physically and mentally.2
