What does a cleanse involve? If it involves calories (food) then just log the food. If not...
I mean, since you're on a calorie tracking website anyway, you could just do that and ditch the products.6 -
I'm on day 4 of my first 30 & new to the mfp community, & so far so good. I could use some Iso friends!1

I am doing it too! Please feel free to add me as a friend.2

I just started isagenix this week and I am already seeing results! Feel free to add me as a buddy as well. Don't listen to the haters on MFP. There are always people who will think its cheating. Do what works for you. I know of many people who have lost alot of weight doing this and have kept it off for years. It's about what works for you. I am excited for continued results.8

Pure woo nonsense and profiteering from an MLM shyster outfit. I have met Jim Coover on numerous occasions, who at least at one time was heavily hooked up with isagenix, most recently at an industry conference in Las Vegas I attended. The guy is your classic rebranded used car salesmen and con man. Prior to his tenure with isagenix he was involved with a company called Cydcor, which is another glorified MLM pyramid scam.
For those of us that work in marketing and advertising, the MLM people are always the scraping the bottom of the barrel types for some reason. They give the word "marketing" a bad name8 -

I haven't seen anyone who considers taking Isagenix cheating. Mostly I see that it's overpriced junk that won't do anything.10 -

Cheating, no. But a recipe for failure, often yes. Because drinking shakes teaches you nothing about proper portions with real food. I'd rather eat my calories.6 -
Good job OP on weight loss. Do you think this is easier then just counting calories eating regular food.0

Just to give some background so that people don't fall for Isagenix or companies like it, but they are a classic MLM (multi-level marketing) outfit that is barley legal. A true pyramid scheme is very much illegal, but they get around this since you are not actually paying to be part of the network. What you are doing is attempting to get more people involved in your personal network so it kicks up to you, and the person above you, and so on. Thus a legal (but barley) pyramid scheme. The final result is the only people who really benefit in the long run are scumbags like Jim Coover who are at the top of the pyramid. It's like an even shadier version of Amway.
Their products are of course bogus, but that is not even the real hook of business arrangements like this. The real money maker is the people involved themselves. A steady stream of recruitment is how it generates money. The product could be diet drinks, toasters ovens or fried chicken and it would not matter. Coover has used similar techniques with products and services that were not health related.6 -

I actually know about proper portion sizes and you don't only drink shakes. Many people on here drink protein shakes during the day. I still get 5 meals a day. I won't argue with you about it. Don't judge what others are doing if it works for them bottom line.9 -
I feel sad when I see these, because I'm pretty sure it's just a way for them to advertise, that's why it's usually someone's first post, and they never come back, and a bunch of other people who are taking it chime in with their first post too.5

I used to do 2 shakes but cut back to one as my breakfast and now eat 2 real food for 2 meals and 2 snacks and track here as well. I just actually like my morning breakfast shake due to the convenience and would just find another shake to drink if i didn't Isa. I work out early am and have my shake on the way to work but I prefer eating 2 meals though at this point but I do like Isa, had good results on it when I did do 2 shakes, and wouldn't talk negatively about it. There are some Isa Crazies out there through for sure.0

I've lost 13 pounds in 19 days. And I've not been fully faithful due to holidays. Is it an MLM? YES. But I don't do that part. Portion control? I know how, but if drinking a shake and not being hungry gives me success, then I'll take it. I'm not hungry, my pain and inflammation have gone down, and my sciatica and knee pain are greatly improved. Hate it if you want, but look at this week's People magazine for a true success story. And hers is one of thousands.3
