Fitbit help with logging exercise

Just purchased a Charge 2 and confused on how to log exercise.
My fitbit is synced to the mfp app. I record my workouts using my fitbit but then also log then under mfp. That causes my fitbit calorie to double on my diary but when I delete the mfp entry, fitbit drops my workout completely and only adds calories for walking.
So should I only be logging my exercise on my fitbit and not mfp? Should I un-sync my fitbit from mfp?? I'm really confused:/

I usually just let fitbit count my steps to log my cardio exercises instead of manually doing it. When I did manuallt do it I made sure my fitbit and MFP apps were synced and only did the logging lb the MFP app, the information I put into MFP went to my fitbit app. Make sure you give it time to sync.

Your going to get double credit if you use both with the exercise and or food logging. Stick with just one of them. With food I use MFP cause they have a larger database of foods. just be careful cause there can be alot of user submitted things that are not correct.
As for exercise I have the Ionic and just let the fitbit app sync my exercise and steps.0 -
Log food in MFP, log exercise in Fitbit. Let them sync throughout the day. Individual exercises logged in Fitbit do not get transferred to MFP, that is normal, just the overall Fitbit Calorie Adjustment will be transferred to MFP. Eat back at least a portion of the adjustment (50 to 75%) at first then adjust percentage based on results after four to six weeks.

You will NOT get double credit. Logging on MFP will override Fitbit's calorie burn for the exact same time period. However, it's still better to let Fitbit take care of the exercise side of things.0 -
I used to have the Fitbit zip for a few years until it went through the wash one too many time 2 weeks ago. I also have a polar H7 heart rate monitor for when I exercise. The zip is just a step counter. I used iCardio on the iPhone for workouts with the H7. That app is linked to Fitbit so when I exercise the Fitbit software over layed the workout data from iCardio with any step data to calculate calories burned. I used MFP to give me calories in. Calories out was Fitbit. Fitbit fed MFP the out and MFP gave me the totals.
Don’t log exercise in MFP. Let it get that from Fitbit. Took me a while to figure that out but once i did it seemed pretty accurate. The only time you log exercise in MFP is if you didn’t have the tracker in you or the battery died and you didn’t notice.
I now have a polar A370 since the Fitbit died to go along with the polar H7. Still trying to figure that flow of data out as the A370 has a built in HR monitor and monitors my HR 24/7. When I workout tho I pair the H7 to the A370 as the H7 HR monitor is more accurate than the wrist based on the A370. H7 is a chest strap monitor with the electrodes unlike the wrist based that uses light. Wrist bases become less accurate when perspiration gets between the light sensor and your skin.
If by chance you log exercise in MFP and the Fitbit logs the same, it will eventually adjust itself and you will see one if the two entries go negative. Takes a few minutes for the MFP exercise data to upload to Fitbit and Fitbit to recalculate the calories burned after it overlays the two data sets and figures out they are the same time frame.
If you delete the Fitbit data in MFP by mistake, go into MFP settings, tap Steps and set the step source to none. Wait a min and set it back to Fitbit. It will sync the deleted data back in after a few minutes.
