Hello, I'm speaking to whomever experienced this and not to the naysayers..I don't want to hear how unhealthy it is, I'm just speaking to people that have accomplished this naturally on their own without surgery .. Please detail exactly what you did.. I really would like to hear from people that lost this much quickly on their own and not because of medical issues...Thanks in advance

Losing 20 pounds of fat in 2 weeks would mean burning 35,000 more pounds than you take in a week. Or a 5000 calorie deficit each day.
It is not possible. There is no need to argue as to whether it's unhealthy or not.27 -

Unless you currently weigh 600lbs, I'm going to go ahead and naysay.17 -
It seems very unlikely. I know you don't want to hear from naysayers and I don't blame you! But that's 10lbs per week. I'm in a big deficit, eating 1200 calories per day (really more when you factor in exercise calories) and working out. I'm averaging 10lbs a month. And I am pretty strict. I couldn't even imagine losing that quickly. I don't think that is even possible. You could get a whoosh of water weight coming off, but even then I don't know if it would be 20 pounds. I once lost close to that in about that time. I had undiagnosed hyperthyroidism and I had been ignoring the obvious symptoms . When it got to that level of weight loss I was extremely ill, on the verge of a heart attack. Please be careful with whatever you do!4

Well... let's do some math. In order to lose 20 pounds of fat (as opposed to water), you'd need to create a deficit of 70,000 calories. (That's 3500 calories per pounds times 20.)
To do this over a 2 week period, you'd need a 5000 calorie deficit per day. (That's those pesky 70,000 calories divided by 14).
I have no idea what your stats are but, presuming a TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) of 2000 calories, you'd need to eat nothing. You'd then need to find a way to burn off another 3000 calories per day to boot... while eating nothing.
This is not possible and it's not healthy to even attempt. Don't do it. Read the helpful threads and stick with a moderate deficit.

Like I said l would really like to hear from someone that has actually lost that much or close to it.. If there's someone out there that have accomplished this, I would love to hear from you.. I'm obese and have a lot to loose so I would love to hear from someone who has been able to do this..22

It's impossible, as explained above, not just extremely dangerous to even try. So you won't find anyone who has, especially on MFP, where promoting dangerous low calorie diets are against forum rules.
You should spend your time and efforts on learning how to lose weight in a healthy sustainable way. Why would you want to risk your health in this way?9 -

You wont. Because you cant.13 -
Listen. Accept the truth if you want or don't. We're on your side here.
Anyone that tells you that you can lose 20 lb in 2 weeks is lying to you and likely trying to sell you something.14 -

You're not gonna get that. People are just trying to help you see that and be realistic. There is some great advice on this site, from lots of folks who want you to succeed the right way!3 -
Pinterest has a lot to answer for! I blame all its posts of 'how to lose 20lbs in two weeks' as pure cr@p and people are being hugely misled.
20lbs in 10 week's would be dang hard and for a lot of people very unheathy.
I'm waiting for some eejit to pop in to this thread declaring that they indeed lost 20lbs in 2 weeks. They will be fibbing so take any such replies with a pinch of salt.

Something else occurred to me: what type of answers were you looking for? What if I had told you that you could lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks by eating, for example, 2200 calories a day? ...
Will you lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks? No but you may lose 4. Isn't losing 4 pounds (and keeping it off) better than nothing?7 -
This would be the same as saying, "Listen, I need to flap my arms and fly from Buffalo to Rochester. I don't want to hear from naysayers, just from people who have figured out how to do it."
Plug your stats into this calculator: https://tdeecalculator.net/ Leave the body fat % blank, you don't need it. It will tell you approximately how many calories your body burns in a day. In order to lose 1 lb per week, you need to eat 500 cals less than this number per day. In order to lose 2 lbs per week, you need to eat 1000 cals less than this number. And in order to lose 10 lbs per week, you would need to eat 5,000 cals less than this number per day, which is literally impossible. And it is not recommended to eat less than 1200 cals per day, anything less should be done under medical supervision. Please don't cause yourself new health problems trying to correct the one you already have. :flowerforyou:14 -

Amputation would achieve this goal but that is surgery so there goes that option.
You will not find anyone that has achieved the results you are looking for without surgery because it is IMPOSSIBLE to do until you weigh more than the heaviest person alive and even then you would not be eating for 2 weeks.
If you are really serious about losing weight and keeping it off then set realistic and sustainable goals. Reading the stickies here is a great place to start.5 -
Really bad bought of stomach flu. Could't keep any food down, and got really dehydrated as everything was coming out both ends. Exercise consisted of running to the restroom, and crawling back to the couch.8

It actually makes me a little sad to read that you "don't want to hear how unhealthy it is," and yet you want it all detailed out for you so you can do it. We've (pretty much) all been there - we've disliked, hated, loathed our bodies - but to come onto a forum and state outright that you don't care how unhealthy something is, you want to know exactly how to do it, just seems very... unfortunate. Maybe you should speak with a doctor, a nutritionist, a therapist?14

When I started here, I was also obese. I lost a fair amount starting out the first couple of weeks because of water weight, but it definitely wasn't 20 pounds. I'm afraid it's not possible.3
-
I think this is possible in two ways- you're completely sick and not eating because you're too sick. Or your fasting or juicing to the point that you are losing a *kitten* ton of weight that you will immediately gain back when you eat food again. Not healthy and nearly impossible. I wouldn't try it. I have lost 10 lbs in a month before and it entailed working out everyday and strictly sticking to my calorie allowance.1

Nope. Not "nearly" impossible. Literally impossible.

You're not hearing from someone who has done it because it is quite literally impossible, unless your TDEE is either more than 5000 calories a day, and you restrict to VLCD levels, or your TDEE is in the ballpark of 6200, and you drop to 1200 calories.
Can you lose water weight? Maybe. But that's a ton of water weight, and it's all going to come back.2 -
A 200lb person running a marathon (26.6 miles) at 8mph (3hrs 19 min 30 sec) will burn about 4000 cals.
So, crank out 18 of them in 14 days, while only eating around 2000 cals each day, and continue going about your normal day, and you should make it.8 -
What exactly is happening in two weeks that makes you so fixated on that number, and why exactly 20 lb?
As people habe said above, losing 20 lb of fat in two weeks is a physical impossibility, bar surgery. Losing 20lb of fat and water in that time is almost impossible, bar extreme illness.
Could you be more flexible on one of the two factors? If it is hugely important to lose weight in exactly two weeks, why not start with what you can lose in ahealthy sustainable way - you will still look and feel better than now? If 20 lb is the important number, why not take a bit longer - you will still feel great when you get there.
Don't set yourself up for failure.

If you find someone who tells you it's possible, PLEASE PLEASE ask them this follow-up question:
How long did you keep it off?
You might find someone who was very obese and who did something crazy to manipulate their water weight in order to lose that much. Maybe. Doubtful, but maybe. I'd bet my own money that they didn't keep it off, though.6 -
Like I said if you have lost 20 pounds within 2 weeks I would love to hear from you.. If not then don't reply.. I'm currently exercising and counting calories... But that's not my point..it was a question to those that have done This, if their are none then so be it.. My friend has lost 100 pounds in 6 months, she told me within the first 2 weeks she lost 22 pounds but she did shakes.. So I know that it's possible so I wanted to here other things others have tried and if there's is none then so be it!!!!23

You need to go on that special snow flake diet.
It's the only way.0 -

Even if she lost 100 lbs in 6 months, that still literally less than 20 pounds EVERY MONTH.4 -
You could do a boxing/ufc weigh-in dehydration protocol and might get the scale to display the number. Of course none of it will be fast loss and you'll start gaining it back with the very next glass of water. Not to mention dangerous. So yeah impossible1

Well she lost 22 the first 2 weeks and I know she did because we would talk to each other and go walking with each other.. I'm losing weight by exercising and tracking calories, but once again my question isn't about that.. People it's very simple if it doesn't apply to you then don't respond!!!!13 -

Then why are you on here asking? Why not just have your friend walk you through how she did it? Why do you need further validation from a bunch of strangers on the internet? This is just weird.22 -
Exactly what everyone here is saying... it's impossible to lose that much "fat" in 2 weeks. Sorry slow and steady is the best way to go.. your way is not even possible2
