How to lose thigh fat and get thigh gap?

Want to lose fat around my thighs without getting bulky. My CW is 127 lbs, 23% body fat. GW is around 100-110 lbs. I eat around 1000 kcal a day. I'm 5'2.5"

Some people do not have the shape to have a thigh gap. When I was underweight I didn't even have a thigh gap. It depends how wide your hips are. I wouldn't have "thigh gap" as your goal since it is not practical for everyone.
You have a beautiful hourglass shape by the way. Why are you only eating 1000 calories?

Genetics mostly dictate where you lose weight from and if you are able to have a thigh gap.
You are in the middle of healthy range for your height, so there is no need at all for you to be on 1000 calories per day, the recommended minimum for women is 1200 per day and your maintenance will be around 1600 calories at Sedentary, given your stats the most you should aiming for loss-wise is 0.5lbs per week which would put you at around 1350 calories.

Like Noreenmarie said I wouldn't strive for a thigh gap since not everyone can achieve that. What you can do if you really want to try anyway is lowering your body fat% by eating in a deficit, but not go any lower than 1200 kcal a day and exercise to keep more of the muscle you already have. No one wants stick legs right? You won't build muscle while in a deficit, so don't worry about getting 'bulky' legs. What you probably really want in the end though is beautiful legs full of definition, which you will get by doing either a recomposition when you're at your desired weight or going in a bulk to grow the muscles faster.7

Genetics are a large part of thigh gap, not sure while folk really aspire to have one. The main thing is to be at a healthy weight for your height and have a good level of fitness. You look good in your pic OP!7

I actually had a thigh gap at a higher weight than I am now and I don’t have one any more. It’s too much of an elusive, moving target to be a goal.
You need to eat more. Restricting like that leads to giving up or bingeing. You look great as is. If you want to lose weight, enter your stats in mfp and set it at a half a pound a week for weight loss and eat that amount. That’s my goal on a daily basis. Just eating that amount.7 -

With your shape I don't think that it's genetically possible to have a thigh gap.10

When thigh gaps were all the rage I had my friends around for take away and a few drinks.
We got on to the conversation about them, cue hilarious night of leaning forward thigh gaps pics. Some great duck pouts included.

A lot of the thigh gap pictures are photo shopped and others they are leaning forward with their butts sticking out in order to show the thigh gap..... Either way... if this is your goal, fine. At least do it the healthy way though. Eat more than 1000 calories a day, exercise, lose weight slowly to slim down by eating at a deficit. You can't spot reduce, so be patient with your body.12

Why do you want a thigh gap lol.. that’s such an arbitrary goal. It is dependent on your bone structure.
Anywho, just keep eating at a calorie deficit and you will lose the weight. Although 1000 calories seems extremely low.3 -
Your shape is beautiful, as others have mentioned. We all come in all shapes and sizes, accept and believe that you are the best you! You will be much more happy then and not have to obsess about it. Hugs3

IDK why in the world you would care about a thigh gap but with your build your best bet might be liposuction or cool sculpting that area. Otherwise you'll likely have to lose so much on other parts of your body that you don't like the way they look.

If you eat at a calorie deficit, you will lose body fat and I pinky swear you won't get bulky, even if you lift weights.
No promises on the thigh gap--that's genetics and build.9 -
You're undereating in pursuit of a goal that is unreasonable for the vast majority of people. You're already well within an optimal BMI range for your height. If you want to change the way your body looks, you need to pursue strength training, and increase your calories to avoid becoming malnourished.6

You can't spot reduce fat...and a thigh gap is genetic and has more to do with hip bone structure than fat.9

I wouldn't think someone with an hourglass figure could realistically achieve a thigh gap without surgery. Personally, I wouldn't want one as I think those stick thin legs are reminiscent of famine victim photos, but I guess some people prefer that, and some people just have naturally tiny legs the way I have a tiny waist.5
