I have a hard time with lunch...I don't know why, I'm not usually very hungry, but try to eat a big one regardless, otherwise I binge eat later in the afternoon.....I had two hard boiled egg whites, 10 strawberries, and tuna, with a little fat free mayo wrapped in a lettuce leaf.....I guess i'm just looking for ideas.....oh and I can't believe I forgot the rice krispie square!

Jillian Michael's has some great recipe in her latest book. You may want to check it out! She also says you need to eat every 4 hours, no matter whatm but you need to eat the type of food your body needs, based on your own metabolism.

Would I find her book in the cookbook section? I do eat every 4-5 hours, I drink a ton of water, but for some reason, once I start the "little" snacking. it gets outta control, so I do better with a big breakfast, decent lunch, then two smaller meals in the evening......i'm gonna look for her book though...thanks!

Go to target.com, and type in "Making the Cut"...it's a great program for people trying to take off the last 10-20 stubborn pounds. So far, I have really like the recipes...even if I slightly modify them. She also had a metabolism "test" in there. Enjoy, and let me know what you think if you get it.

Cucumbers, onions and green peppers sauteed in some olive oil and water with chipotle seasoning, mixed with some chopped, grilled chicken.   Tastes like Wendy's chili, only better!!

I also have a banana and a cup of pumpkin parfait (plain, non-fat yogurt mixed with pure pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice), but I'm really not that hungry, so I'm saving that for later. :drinker:

I had a grilled cheese with REAL cheddar on whole wheat, a slice of honeydew melon and a strawberry yogurt. :flowerforyou:
  • Baked potato with about 3/4 cup of homemade chili on top (and a little light sour cream:) Very easy, very good, very filling. I make it with a lot of beans so I get a LOT of protein from it.
  • 1/2 cup quinoa - 1 cup steamed broccoli - 1 oz. reduced fat sharp cheddar topped with fresh salsa. Delish! I make a big batch of quinoa and broccoli on Sunday - and divvy it up in containers for lunches during the week. Grab and go!

Tuna and eggs are great!!! Why don't you try adding a little curry and finely chopped granny smith apple to it? Or sun-dried tomatoes? It add more satisfying texture, and is very flavorful!
