When I temporarily misplaced my corkscrew, I had to run to a neighbor's house
I used a pocket knife. Just go slow....the first time it happened I ended up picking cork pieces out of my bottle. Did the job though.0 -

I will admit to being that girl that has smashed the neck off a wine bottle. On purpose. And then filtered the contents through my tights so I wouldn’t swallow glass.
I’ve grown so much since last week.13 -

I have used the end of a wooden spoon before or a long screw, screw driver and lift it out with a hammer, the things you do when you need wine
Yes I have done this to similar thing with makeshift tools and a drywall screw1 -

If you don't have tights at hand I can confirm that if you put a Q tip into a straw, that works great too. Surprisingly fluff free.
