Ladies - would YOU tell a fellow female if her leggings were see-through?

I swear I’m not a creeper, but I noticed a girl in the gym the other day whose leggings definitely were NOT squat-proof if you know what I mean. I was going to say something to her but chickened out.... but if it were me I think I would want to know. Thoughts?

I'd say something, as I hope they would do for me. I also let them know when their g-string (Thong) is sticking up over their pants

I think that looks even worse than see through leggings!!

if she was my friend yeah, if it was a stranger no. How i see it in the gym, not really much that anyone does or wears is flattering so see through squat pants isn't that big of a deal. I can't go running around telling anyone whose clothes aren't working for them. I'd have to tell EVERYONE. So no.

i might, depending on Stuff. but i also realised that if i was goign to say something i'd wait until i saw her preparing to leave. why ruin anyone's workout with information they can't act on until the next time they come in anyway?

idk. i guess i'm abnormally hardy about stuff like that. getting to see someone else's undies, or more like just evidence that they're wearing them . . . it doesn't seem like the end of the world to me. it's not ideal but people are not their underwear, so i don't really get it, i guess. last time i thought someones underpants in themselves were worthy of squee must have been back in third grade. ever since then i've been sort of 'okay . . . you can't see my actual goodies though, right?' to me it's like conflating the clothing item with the body part they're designed to cover.

like i said, i may be odd.

I personally didn’t think it was a huge deal at all - I could see a leopard thong under her black tights when she squatted. I wasn’t offended or grossed out at all, but I just thought she might want to KNOW. I would definitely want to. But then I thought I might come across as creepy, like I was staring at her butt.

I think about it sometimes, but I always come back to “If it were me I’d want everyone to just not care.” It’s a common and relatable problem with leggings, no one is seeing more than they might at the beach, and Christ, do we not have enough things to feel insecure about at the gym already?

Pay no attention. Don’t care. Don’t tell her to care. Just do your workout.

Probably not. I do want to provide advice about underwear choices though as I don't understand wanting to wear lacy numbers when working out as surely that would itch/chafe - but that is my issue not theirs.

With females unsolicited advice like that just comes off bitchy, even with the best intentions. For all you know she did it on purpose. I say keep your mouth shut and just go about your day.

Pretty much the only time it is ok to comment on a stranger's appearance is when they have something coming out of an orifice. (Booger/blood/you get the idea)

Actually I was working out with my girlfriend the other day and I saw her thong a little. It's only when we get into certain positions. I bet mine does sometimes too. Don't care.

It used to be kind of stylish in certain circles to let a little thong show.

I don't know about this. I just know mine generally does not show but if it shows for 5 seconds I do not give a *kitten* and no one is looking. I will not walk around with straight up see through leggings on though.

I would want to tell her, but wouldn't. People can be so utterly ticklish about any person giving them any sort of news that might disturb them that I just keep my yap closed. If I know them, I would tell them at the end of the day (or session) that I could see thru their pants. If she wore them again, she probably is OK with that so no more telling.

Side note: I once told a woman that while she was in the restroom (in a restaurant) that the men she was with were conspiring how to manipulate her into getting raped by the two of them. She barked: "mind your own business hayseed". It just goes to show, there is virtually nothing said to another that will not tick them off.

I would not go up to a stranger and tell them their clothing was see through. That implies a judgement of what clothing should be like or what is acceptable to wear at the gym. It is a clothing police sort of move. I'm not stranger's clothing police nor do I want others telling me that kind of thing.

Now if someone had toilet paper stuck to them or their skirt flipped up in back where it is an easy fix I'd let them know.
