Truth is I’m still learning to love myself. I think it’s a humanistic quality to struggle with loving ourselves because we our self esteem is defined by people’s acceptance. The reality is we will never be completely accepted by everyone. There is always someone we fall short to or feel we don’t measure up to there expectation of what they want us to be. So in essence we learn to not like who we are.

I’m not saying that you can’t love someone if you don’t love yourself. I’m just saying if you can’t figure out yourself how would you be able to figure out me? We are complicated and it’s not about figuring me out regardless.

    Hope I expressed myself well.

P.S. the fact that you love your children with your whole being only proves to me that your doing something right!

What about my doing something right?

Well i was not attacking, just stating

And statements about loving yourself before you love others. I have never been in romantic love ever. I have thought i was but realised I wasn't whatever. I also do not love myself. I am legitimately working towards it but currently am not there.

I DO, however, love my kids. More than I have ever felt any other emotion for anything. Yes. They are my kids i am supposed to love them. But statements like that mean that I cannot express love without giving it to myself, or understand others before I understand myself... ect.

Just think it's discrediting to our abilities as people to say things like that

You’re a good kid. I have no doubt you’re going to get to anywhere you want to be in life.

Someone said something smart/mean/supportive that enlightened/pissed off/helped someone and someone else agreed/flagged/hugged someone while someone lost weight/rage quit/stayed.

    How’s that?
